Pia, maybe a good idea to get around this, let someone you know and Mary and Sandra knows to be trustworthy, to collect the money via their PayPal account and send the money onto you via E-Gold!

All PTR members need to hang out in this forum and interact with the site owners so that they will have a much better understanding.

We do NOT make much money (most of us don't)

Most of us are honest

We have to deal with hosting problems, server crashes, hacking, cheaters, abusive mail, etc, etc, etc.

We do not delete members for no reason.

Its not our fault if referrals quit.

Most of us work very hard to make things right for our members when things go wrong.

In fact, we tend to put our members and advertisers first before ourselves.

But I have yet to figure out WHY we are such gluttons for self-punishment.

Cashing out a cheque in US $ costs me 15$ transaction fee on average .... think that if I was not Gold at Pennies I should have to upgrade anyway, costs the same or even less depending the upgrade as my transaction costs and is far more productive ... prefer give those 15$ to Mary and Sandra rather than to my bank, at least I'll have something for it :-))

And the no frills is only 5$ ...

Yeppers temer, there's still the problem that whenever I try to reseave money to my unverified account it keeps blowing me off, simply can't reseave any money to that unverified account!! Tryed it few times and haven't been able to do nothing but to "return" the money to the person who sended it to me! Amen! It is a lot more work than a lot of people think. I was guilty of thinking that way myself until I started my own PTR.

You start out in the hole and work your rear off to get out of it and build a good size membership and bring in paying advertisers.

Some of us have yet to actually MAKE money from being a WM. It takes a little while to get to that point, because when you are fairly new, you put all earnings back into the program to build it and make it better to bring in more members and advertisers.

All in all, I really do enjoy it. Yeah, you have problems and some trouble makers (no one here of course!! ), but I still find it fun and I have met some really great people so far!! (yes, people here )

We have our own server hon yeah, can handle it, and won't be all at once i think
something has to give here. I am doing up to 60 redeems a day on PBE alone, checking accounts for each of those if taking my work day to 16-20 hours. 90% of the cheaters use E-gold, it will NOT stop them all, but it will stop the majority I think.
As we have 5 different ways to get paid now, it is really "not" a way to avoid paying (to send a check to europe or asia costs me 80 cents) nor is it a way to get more gold members. The advertising with gold membership we "lose" money on.
We have not had "1" gold member cheat.
So yes gold members are exempt, they support our program, and should get all the perks we can grant them.
We do not require a minimum click through to get paid, we do not have a percentage of clicks to get paid, we are VERY lenient on activity and do not even look at bounced emails, we pay well for searches, minimum payout is doable on your own in 3 months. We do not yell or treat members any less than we would like to be treated.

In short we bend over backwards to give you the best possible program we can. But we cannot keep eating losses from cheaters and continue doing that, so yes, something had to give, either us and the program or verifying e-gold users.

The scanned passport or other goverment issued id seems like a reasonable solution.
Of course some people have problems getting their id scanned, but i'm sure they can find someone to do it for them.

Maybe they should go to some computer shop and ask them to "demonstrate" how a scanner works..

Moneybookers is fine and no, no need to get a check if you use it, it is in the redeems now as well. For us the hassle is that they do not like my us bank, so can only fund it with e-gold. But will to help those needing it
