No, I'm not selling this yet, but before I decied weather or not too, and for how much, I want peoples honest opinions on this.

If I was to sell a script with the following features.

- Safelist - Complete with customisable wait times, displaying the amount of time till next post ability, Text and HTML(WYSIWYG and Source) Mailers, with Trackers(Simply insert, e.g. [-http://google.com-] then google.com will be tracked)
- Point Email - Poster configurable they specify how much to send to, and how much the user gets, Text and HTML(WYSIWYG and Source) Mailers, with Trackers.

- Configurable Referral and Downline Comissions, over unlimited levels, e.g. first 10 levels get 50 credits, level 100 gets 5 credits, etc.

P.S This is just the tip of the ice burg I could blap on for ever, but I want to know if, I should sell it for $5 or $10 or just free(Joking, I really, dunno what do sell it for)(I have been told, that cheap, and the whole point of starting more gets destroyed, but If I want to get famous, I don't want to get famous from people just deciding to quit because too much competition, that just paid $5/$10)

Also, with a script like this, it going live, how many members do you think it will get and at what rate(e.g. In the first two days, 100 members), what?

I Couldn't really give an exact date, I've been programming for, I've been using computers for about 7-8 years.

As for checking over for bugs, I code stuff, always thinking of possible exploit methods(after doing it for a while, you learn to think ahead), then its basically get in there, and try a few things, if it doesn't work fix it.

This would depend, There would have to be an additional fee, for this, which atleast means if they do start pirating the script, that I got atleast something, and also have to setup some tracking in this, even though there is no way of making it so people can't remove that.

Soon, but not at the moment. (Give it a week, just got a brand new server to launch a version).

Hopefully I don't need to basically read code the whole thing to overcome some possible growing pains, because I think I might need to drop the template system to improve the speed, and turn the downline image to be a only allowed to be generated once a week if it does put too great a strain on the server.

Thats the main reason for me asking how quick the members will possibably join, with those features.

Also, why abodb and Innodb? Most servers nowadays use MySQL mainly.

darn....dats like the first thing i look for when i buy a script, hehe. custom template system.

If I do, i'll keep two versions, but thats only if it slows it down with a couple of million a month.

ADODB is a PHP Library, that makes it easy to run a script that will work on other databases(e.g. pgsql, etc)
InnoDB is a MySQL Table type, 99.9% of Scripts run MyISAM, oops, I Just Checked my DB Setup, its still MyISAM, I was thinking i had changed it

Alot of wants, not alot of numbers(time to get people estimates), how much you would pay/expect to pay(even though its not definate, although thats one of the main plans) ?

I think you could ask for this system about $100-$150. You can sell it for more, but you will loose some potential customers who are just starting a GPTRE site.

So many people are buying ptr scripts off of ebay and from self-proclaimed "resell" sites for $10 to $20 each, that it will be hard to sell it for any amount of money.

iphat is selling resell to resell rights, although its not worth it, his scripts suck, even though they do sell..

I bet you could sell it for $150-$200, maybe more if you promise future upgrades.
