Yes, I would say that's a good offer -considering that Yahoo is a well known server and has a pretty good reputation.
Anyway there are many good offers out there n__n

Wow Shannelle1 that's cheap!
Do you have to put any advertising from them on your website?
Who are they?
Mind you I am happy with my host but I am just curious
Wish all a very good day!

In most cases any big company that is offering web hosting services will not allow anything such as PTR's or the liking. Most of the small companies do because they need the business to survive. You can find smaller companies that offer good service and low prices. They are all over the place.

I use to host my site with Yahoo. I would like to say that they have VERY poor customer support and service. I finally got tired of not being able to get answers and I moved to another host.
I thought that since they are so well known and well established that they would be the best and that is why I went with them. But I was extremely dissatisfied by their support and I had emailed and used the phone number too. Also they add code to the bottom of your pages that I have not seen anyone else do. If you check your site for errors, the code that yahoo adds causes errors to show up on your pages.
The webhost I have now has really excellent customer support and they can be reached by email, and live chat as well as by phone. I have actually investigated quite a few webhosters by contacting their sales and support people and I have not found any at all that can come close to the support that HostGator provides.
I would urge anyone who is considering using any hoster to first contact both sales and support people with questions. Many of them do not reply at all and most of them cannot give good or accurate answers to your questions

I apy 24.95 per month but I can host almost unlimited websites. I get 5 G space and 50 G bandwidth, I can add more if I need it fairly cheaply.
With this I get great customer service 24/7. I wont list all of the options and features but some are; cPanel, 39 fantastico scripts that can be installed with the click of mouse, POP3 mail, webmail, php perl, cgi, MySql, custom error pages, password protected directories, etc etc etc

I pay $70 a year for 600MB space and 25GBbandwidth. Great customer service, I got a reply within minutes but it's been like 2 years now since I never have to contact them because I have no problem.

when will people learn ...
Ok, lets do some math, you pay 499/month for a good server
That means, you need 1197 accounts just to break even !
Thats TWICE the ammount of SMALL accounts you should have max on a server !
It's just NOT realistic
