hello all...
As a paid to read member, what features would you like to have on a paid to read site?
Thanks

i always like sites with not only paid to read but also paid to clicks and signups on the site, and paid signups that get paid as quick as possible
detailed referal information, so you can see details of referals and how much individually they've made

If you have been hanging around this forum for long, you will know that this one comes up a lot: members want a vacation button!
When a member goes on vacation, or is scheduled for surgery, or any number of things requiring him/her to be away from the computer for a time, they need a way to stop the mails from filling up their mailbox.

i agree a vacacion button and a paid to click section, since i like more paid to click and there are not really many good ones anymore

Hi yes I have read about the vacation button and we have now included that into our programming. : )
You will be able to click a vacation button in the members area that will deactivate your account until you log in again. : )
any other ideas are welcome... : )
Thanks

There should be some type of security option to prevent people from abusing the vacation feature, if they are a big referrer who doesn't want to click...
If you know what I mean.

I have asked my programmer about this and will get back to you but I would believe by deactivating your account, you will not be elegible for referrals during this period.
I will double check this and post a reply here.

Yes I have spoken to my programmer and it will be like cancelling your account during this time, meaning no referrals or emails sent. When you log back in after you have been away you will be sent a confirmation email to reactivate your account.

So I assume during this "vacation time", the members will not lose the referrals and earnings that they already have.

No, their account will just be on pause, so to speak.

i would like a feature on the site, so that when you subscribe, you only can confirm your membership from the computer you used to sign up, so what i mean is, that when you signup, your ip is logged, so when you confirm your ip can bechecked, this way you will make it impossible for cheaters to signup emailadresses of other people to get them in their downline.

Well members IP's are logged... but there are problems with this. What if someone doesn't have a computer at home and they are using a public computer at a library or Internet Cafe? Their IP will change. Not really fair to block them because of this. : (

no the feature should be there solely for signup, reading the paid emails should be available on any computer, but when they signup from an internet cafe computer, they can check their email there and confirm their membership can't they?

A low minimum payment via Paypal/E-Gold would be a great incentive for members to sign-up.

More detailed referral information is high on my wishlist

Here is an Idea, place a forum on your site let the members communicate then they know who is being paid and what have you, would save alot of trouble.

Here are my two biggest gripes with some programs:
1) sending point mails when your user info clearly has that box UNCHECKED
2) making you sign up for their own forum in order to see what is going on. Why can't their forums be like this one, ie you can still read posts without actually signing in or signing up? I have joined at least 50 forums over the past few years, most of which are gone by now, and I'm tired of it!! If I need to actually make a post, then yeah, I'll sign up, but otherwise either tell me what you need to in an admin. email or let me look at the forum without signing up.
ok, I guess I'm done venting for now. LOL

Weird, digging up a 3 1/2 year old thread.
I believe PTR has evolved quite a bit since the top started. Of course, new features and suggestions are always welcomed.

Gosh, Onlooker, I hadn't even noticed that! I guess it just goes to show how tired I am tonight. Oh well, those are still my gripes. LOL

Yep it's an old thread but I do have something I wish programs would offer. You can pick interests how about a selection so that you can pick which days you recieve mail? I have started taking off weekends, I bet I'm not that only one who takes days off. I would love if I could go into my interests section and click a button and not recieve mail on Saturday and Sunday and I'm sure other people would like the same option.
