Sorry, your constitutional rights end when you connect to the internet.

You have the right to free speech, no one is stopping you from saying your mind. But if you say something that someone doesnt like and they take offense and they ask you to take it back and you refuse, then you are in trouble if they take it further and into the courts. You might think your safe in the US, but you can be sued from another country for your actions on the internet. The internet is WORLD WIDE, please dont forget it.

don't be stupid... you said something about a private entity... you slandered against them in effort to bring them down, which is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Its not even what you said, its what you did. OBSTRUCTION of JUSTICE i believe it is called (someone spot me). They can sue you... you better believe it. Because its not what you said its what you did - That would be like if to the FDA and made a complaint that mcdonalds made you get EColi as well as many other people. Here in Australia they brought in a terrorist call line. If you see something that looks suspicious to call it in. There was a guy over in Perth Western Australia who thought it was fun to call in a prank call. He has been arrested for doing so. Thing is, it's like calling wolf, you can only call wolf so many times before people just go yeah yeah, he's upto his old tricks again. Then when there is an actual company defrauding it's users and he's hte only one that speaks up, no one will believe him.

Several things I have to say here:
1.) The litigious nature of the USA society, which is gradually 'infecting' the rest of the world, is one of the greatest evils on the planet today. (And no I don't hate AMericans, and neither am I a terrorist!)
2.) I can't quite see where this whole thread started, as the first post seems to be the one from shaqmagic (so it's hard to really respond).
3.) Brianlfc, it's clear you have a grudge from something in the past with shadowman, which I'm really not interested in. I've witnessed you 'arguing' with him in the past. Resorting to insulting someone who can't even respond is childish and undignified. It seems I never see a post from you which isn't just full of negativity. Do you EVER have a positive thought?

Oh, one more thing ... I believe that shaqmagic was trying to say is that anyone has a right to express an OPINION. What they don't have a (legal) right to do, is state things as fact, negative or not, which are actually opinions. Seems to me people have a very rigid definition of the word 'scam': If you get paid it's not a scam, if you don't, it is a scam.

Well, I call Spedia a scam, though I didn't a couple of years ago, when they sent me a cheque. They became a scam in my mind when they stopped responding to emails, and stopped paying.

And it also seems a tad ridiculous to worry that a program will be paypal-frozen because ONE PERSOn makes a complaint. If the company is legitimate, what's all the worrying for?

I don't know exactly what the last straw was, but I do know that at the end he was hurling personal attacks left and right. My guess would be that he was rabidly attacking people, as per usual, and didn't heed mods' warnings to cease and desist.

because paypal often freezes accounts when someone complains, and it takes around 6 months to sort it out, regardless if it really is a scam or not. they could have all the proof in the world that it's not a scam and paypal won't really budge on their decision....from what i've seen anyway.

do you call opt-in-pays and linkburst scams? but their paypal account is frozen. see why everyone is worried now?

WOW. I don't understand how you can say that when there are many other nations to blame. The US doesn't infect anybody. Look at Holland, Italy, Iraq, and the like. I could go on and on. The US is far from infecting anybody - How can you compare the US to Holland? Tell me why the US is so *evil* and I just might agree with you, and then I will tell you everything else in the world that is wrong.

As for Shaqmagic, I have no problem with him voicing his opinion. It's when he starts taking actions that negatively affect the rest of us when it starts becoming my problem.

Oh, and I guess I didn't mean to single out the US so much - it is the litigation that bothers me. And I guess I get more exposed to American media than anything else, both online and offline, so I tend to make the association. Sorry if I was misleading.

There may be other countries that are equally, or maybe even more ready to sue at the drop of a hat, but if so, I am not aware. An increase in the whole litigation thing has begun to take off here in Australia, and it is a terrible shame. In my day job I get to witness regularly, various community groups that have to close up shop as they can't afford the public liability insurance which has skyrocketed in price. That sucks, plain and simple.
