Does anyone know of a service for banner tracking? A service for banner hosting or similar that will me to upload a banner, display it outside the website and then see reported stats of the banner. I'm looking for more advanced stats such as seeing the referring page for the banner (to see on what pages the banners are displayed on and what advertisers display the most.
This is important for me because I'm soon starting a big banner impression advertising campaign and I really need a free service like a described above.

I don't know if there is a service like you're describing

lol then there should be...
but really... I'm pretty sure there is because some hosting services offer these types of stats and only if they did offer the same stats for images as well as html files, then everything would be great...

I talked to my husband and he said for you to go to Free Code and you can get CGI & Perl scripts to do this for you.

You can also go to a search engine and type in the keywords banner tracking. I am sure they exist you just will have to find them. I am not sure that you really need a cgi or perl script, although you can go that route, but I am not sure you will get what you really want from it.
