What is this fuss about american elections??

There are people from other countries in GPF mad.gif

Bippy
Personally I have no clue, but it seems the elections here have a big part on the countries around for economy reasons.

I think its ridiculous all the debating, people get so into it, why don't they run then if they have such big plans for the countries wink.gif tongue.gif

But your right, I dont hear about other countries and their elections and all, big whoop. I leave all that to the politicians, thats what us people pay them for wink.gif

Big Whoop, because we live in a free country with alot more rights than most. We fought harder (or our ancestors did) to get them and we are stingy with our rights.

Once again I fail to see why some people in the USA are convinced we have more rights then other countries. There are plenty of countries in the world that have just as many rights if not more then we do (depending on what you believe is a "right"). I believe our forfathers came here to escape prosecution and tyranny. They came here to be "free", to form a new country. I wonder sometimes do people forget that? I also wonder if we arent brainwashed in school to believe we are better then anyone else and the most superior country in the world. To me thats a matter of debate and opinion if we are the "best", most "free" country in the world.

I do believe brainwashing is the number one reason. Elementary school would probably be why. They like to "pretty things up" for children - bring it to a level of their understanding - make it something they will like to hear. I find it hard as a first-year college student to get certain ideas out of my head about the history of our country that I learned when I was in elementary school. Not just the ideas of the United States being a superior country. I honestly wish they would have told truths that I didn't understand instead of exaggerating and falsifying. Makes it hard to accept new ideas....
