Although I seldomly see any posts here about StingRaySearch, I'm hoping that someone has some news they can share.
This was my first and only experience of being an affiliate of a search engine, I expect it will by my last (bet some of you are glad to hear that, lol). When I joined the payout was $5, but I waited till I had $15 to request payment. About the time I was expecting to receive that payment any day, he sent an email upping the minimum to $25 and saying he would pay net 30-45 days (of course, prior requests were not honored).
I reached $25 in mid-July, still no payment even though it is well past the TOS. I finally sent him a polite email on 9/25 asking for an update on payouts, I have not yet received a response.
He also has not sent out any info regarding the click bonus contest he had running from 6/1-8/31.
I'm just very frustrated and annoyed about this whole experience.

I have sent him an email to have a new portal approved and no response yet. Thought maybe I missed an email from him that he was away or something. I don't plan on promoting this one anymore until I get some kind of response.

Hi,
I have edited my post as I had written something about XraySearch because I have been waiting for payment for more than 3 months. But I have now decided to delete that comment as I some how forgot about the hurricanes that has hit the florida area over the last few weeks and this could be causing the delay.

I have also been waiting for payout and this is the longest I have ever had to wait for stingray search.I did speak to the webmaster on msn regarding payouts and it seems that he is behind because him as well as some of his family have been hit with the hurricanes in Fla so payments should resume shortly. I have been paid everytime I requested so I'm not worried yet

Thanks for the replies. I didn't realize Ray was from Florida. Interesting that he had computer access and time to chat on msn after being hit by the hurricanes, but didn't have a few minutes to send an email to members letting us know payouts would be even further delayed.

I don't know where he is from. I only mentioned Florida as someone in a previous post mentioned that he was delayed due to the hurricanes and Florida had the most hurricanes, so I just mentioned that I forgot about that area. If he is from there or not, I'm not sure, but were ever he is he just needs to pay us.

I read this last week and was hoping he would respond, as I know he
frequents this forum....
Ray where are you and why are you being like all the other engines that
won't pay?
YOU used to be proud of the fact that you weren't, and would
NEVER be like a certain person you took sites over from.
Have you dropped us like he did? I sure hope not

I'm pretty sure Ray is in Florida. Not positive, but I have talked to him in the past and I think thats what he said.
I'm also waiting on payout from him as well. My first payout and I requested it in May. I doubt I'll ever see it

Well, this month is nearing it's end and I still have not received anything from him yet. I have now suspended his site from mine untill I know that he pays.
I request payout from him on 11th July 2004 and I am still waiting for payment.

I know he's been online, so the whole hurricane stuff I think he'd just be using it as a cover. Even during and after the hurricanes I saw him online.
I've pretty much just written him off as yet another name to add to the long list of scams/not paying programs. I don't think he intentionally set out to scam, so he's not a scammer. But he just isn't paying.
I've waited about 6 months now. Competely Ridiculous.

The only problem is that you can't just written him of as this is how to many webmaster get away with scamming people. It is to easy to do and it just encourages them to scam even more as no one does much about it.
He may have not been intentionally set out to scam, but he is still really a scammer if he has stopped paying. If he knew that he can't pay anymore then he would do the right thing and aplogise to his members and then sell his sites to someone who could pay or he would just shut them down.
