Just to let you all know in advance... MoneyBookers is not reliable either, they stolen S$20 from me.

After MoneyBookers S$2.68 fee, I I transferred about S$60 to my bank account but about 5 days later I checked my bank account, only received about $40...

I contacted my bank & they did not charge to receive money for this transaction & have never charge to receive money for any method.

I emailed MoneyBookers on Dec 31, got ignored, i send again on Jan 4 & received reply that they are looking into it. Still no news what happened to the missing S$20.

Anyone else have similar problem with MoneyBookers?

Hi FamilyAffair,

from the .com.sg email address, i think you are from singapore. U may want to check with your bank again because as far as i know, if the money wired to your bank was in US currency, to convert to SGD, a flat rate of $20 is charged.

this is quite standard for the banks in sing - UOB, HSBC, Citibank, DBS etc etc. They are not normally reflected in your statement. At least this is what I understand from a friend of mine who remits money very frequently to sing.

if u have a paypal account, its cheaper to remit money as paypal charges you S$2.75 and remits the money directly in SGD, hence no bank charges.

hope this helps.

hatefrauders: You did not pay enough attention, all the while I am speaking SGD, nothing to do with USD.
My MoneyBookers account is denominated in SGD not USD, so there is NO charge.
hatefrauders
ok, sorry. let us know what is the outcome from moneybookers.

Fa,I hope moneybookers dodn't have a hiden fee that they charge a $20.00 fee. Good luck with your Transaction.
FamilyAffair
Thank you. I will try to keep you all updated when I receive a reply.

Well you know actually I have more money coming in (E-Gold) but with MoneyBookers still holding on to my S$20, I will not trust to use them again until they return my money!

I'm always using www.icegold.com

No one has a account, they have a standard fee of 7.75euro/$ to whitdrawl money to a bank account. And there are no fee's extra.

It takes around 4 days to receive the money on my bank account via icegold.

FA..Is this the first time u request for payment...from MB to HSBC??

I spoke one of the officers from DBS bank today, they have a flat fee of SGD7 for all inwards remittance.

Just wondering why HSBC is totally free?? Normally, foreign bank charges a higher fee than local bank.

I did withdraw $301 two days ago & money was deposited to my bank account with no problem
My bank charge about 10,000 won(about $8) to convert us dollars to korean won (regardless of the amount)
