Best Tip for using cj links do NOT be a banner farmer use text link as the search engines will pick up those key words from text links and get you a high rating in the search engines like
jaydillar
is now listed as a web directory on MSN

I actually started my own web directory/shopping portal about 12 months ago, with loads of links to CJ, Trade-Doubler, etc.
But I haven't bothered updating it of late and lost interest, I still get a few sales/sign-ups though

Here, take a look
http://www.brianlfc.bravepages.com/ But its nothing special, as I'm afraid my web building capabilities stop with HTML editors, lol

looks good brian ~>
you should also consider your own domain they are only 9 bucks a year and a cheap host with like a 30 buck a year ad free hosting package
as top level domains get higher listing and preference in search results as well ~
if your wanting to get better listed in search engines

Yeah, I was planning on doing that when I first started, but I got a bit side-tracked and haven't really updated it for a while!
My just get my a**e into gear and sort it out one day (lol, I've been saying that for 12 months)

Whats commission junction?
Brianlfc
Jan 5 2003, 11:56 PM
Its a Affiliate program!
They are just basically middle-men to advertisers.
You sign-up for them, they have 100's of excellent advertising opportunities, i.e. Shopping, Credit Cards, Gambling sites, etc.
You choose a advertiser you want to throw adverts for on your webpage/newsletter, etc and they handle all the earnings you make!
Much easier than clicking emails, etc, lol...

Sherry, another good one is TradeDoubler, but its mostly UK affiliates/advertisers so not much use to yourselves I guess?
I'm not even sure if they payout non-Europeans!

Not much use for us Americans......only Europeans.

I know he does for Coffe Cup, but I'm not sure about crucial.
He's not advertising yet becasue he's
still working on getting the site up and then he wants to move to a better server. I think he's gonna go with No Joke Hosting.

You can actually get top level domain names for less than what you have quoted. I would look around before you commit to one place. I have not paid $9 or more for a domain in over 4 years. So look around and you can find reputable companies that will do it.
At least the fees are not the same as they used to be. Back in 1997 even there was only one registrar and the price was $20 per year with a 2 year minimum.

several years ago, I used them. Not anymore. I have been able to move to bigger and better things. But it is great when you have several clients looking for that king of stuff and will allow you to sign them up under you. Boy those were good days. Just now days are better.

You know I would like to get more sign-ups from their advertisers. They have so many. I actually redid a site I didn't bother with for one advertiser. I have to check them again. An incentisized site would be good but that would require programming and database work and at this point I am not skilled in that just basic page layout. I would rather do it all myself and would be evern better if I could get a grade in school for it since I returned to school to learn this stuff.

This is very true. You will have much better luck. In the long run you will find that you will get better responses as well. People are just not interested in looking at banners anymore I am very surprised they continue to be put on sites the way they are.

This is one of the downsides of affiliate programs. These companies for whatever reason and I am sure that some are for good reasons, do not always allow people in all areas of the world to become affiliates. The best thing you can do in this case is to make people aware of it.
