I just switched my site from tap to cc yesterday.

Not impressed with tap whatsoever.

I was backing up data daily, just to find out later that my database was corrupt.

CC or CYGP is definitely the prime choice.

I have & like TAP!

CC is old and not attracting now(lot of sites)!!

CYGP and Illusive Web Services Aurora GPT should be ur first choice...

tap is yaaaackkkk!!!!

Be modern I dont join cc sites anymore!! 18000 members at no-minimum and 20000 members at stormofcash.com are perfect example of cygp and aurora gpt success!!

Interesting comment about CC. But I disagree totally. There is a very good reason so many sites use CC

I don't think it is a bad thing that there are so many CC sites. That is what has made it possible for CC to grow into what it is now. Sicne plugins were introduced about 6 months ago, the ability to easily customise the scripts has become much more available. There is practically nothing you can no longer do with CC. If the feature does not exist you can write a plugin or hire someone to do it for you.

I have heard mixed things about CYGP - mostly good - from its users.

I have heard nothing good about TAP or Illusive (except from the owners/authors of the scripts who like to say theirs is the best script)

I think the OP asked about Tapp scripts. Not how great CC is. I have two sites running on CC and one site with Tapp. Have to admit I did not like the Tapp at first It had lots of things to be worked out. Now everything is working fine and the script is fine. Just not my first choice.

From a webdesigners point of view and a programmer I can say I would only recommend CC Scripts. Like was mentioned if I cant get want i need to add into a customers site I can generally just go write it myself and add it on.

im currently working on a new plug in which I hope the Ads only sites will take a shine too. Will make these sites more attractive to the multitude who dont really like ads only.

I have two sites; one running on CYGP and the other Tap. In terms of features I'd have to say CYGP wins hands on. However it's also a bit more for the technically inclined and unless you're into constantly upgrading your scripts (although that can be done automatically now) beginners might find the whole experience rather daunting.

Tap however is much more straight forward to use and with its latest version (10.42) the admin module has a much cleaner and clearer interface. With less configuring to do Tap is certainly meant for those that likes to get up and running straight away.

I can't comment much about CC though with its large user base it probably has the best user support compared with Tap and CYGP. But CC is definately not the only PTR script worth having.

That's my 1 cent worth!

How much is TAP, anyway?

They have a couple of authorised resellers and I know createasite4u.com are having a sale and offering the script (without template) for $49. If you're hopeless at web design then I'd suggest to go for the with template package though.

If anyone is interested you can PM me and I can put you in touch with another reseller (the one that I bought from). I went through him since he had tons of templates to choose from (you'll be spoilt for choices!) and his after sales support has so far been excellent. But like I said there's quite a few authorised resellers so you have quite a choice (choose it wisely though).
