This is my poll for the hacker who nicely deleted all 3 sites and 1 in the midst of a sale so if you think i'm not ###### you got another thing coming and judgement day is coming for you MF and I will find your ### and do the same thing you did to me make your life MISERABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Susy
I agree this fool needs to be stopped as soon as possible, AND whatever measures can be taken, are. Someone like this is a miserable piece of human flesh, destroying something that is harmless to begin with, just to mete out spiteful vengeance or whatever the reason he/she/they want to justify this. am.gif

ILostMyTrueLove
means the hacker is still hidden.

so dont waste time for now. you have your database thats good.

now to find that you know what.

I don't see what they like to steal or hack accounts/sites is it a kick ??? I don't think so no one knows who it is. Probably jealous frustrated persons.

If you find that guy I hope you find also his provider so you can close his internet connection.

I aleady closed 2 skynet accounthoulders (the provider skynet closed them) after complaints of me about getting spam mail with virusses. Lucky that I could trace these persons.

And now there is a new mail away to skynet for a person using wdc@planetinternet.be (also one that loves to send spammail and virusses)

I hope Rhea you can do the same if you find that hacker!

From everything I've heard, it's useless to upload your backup until John has secured your site.
Just hang on to it and wait.
John can only go just so fast working on these sites.

The reason they like to hack sites is to see what information they can gain, IE E-gold numbers, passwords, etc. If passwords cant be gained then it's good, but it's another warning to people to make sure they use two different passwords for their GPTR accounts and their payment accounts (whether e-gold or ones like paypal)

Also, find out who the person is, you might find it is someone that you recently removed from a program. Could also be someone from a country that couldnt sign up. Contact the FBI reguarding it as well.

As to the person that lost that money from their e-gold account. Someone posted a link up recently about a site, I posted up there, but I cant remember what the site was, if someone can there is a phone number on that site that you can call in reguards to that.

Whoever is doing it, it's NOT so they can steal the member data, they are DELETING the member data, and also playing around with the scripts, messing them up, as well.
It has nothing to do with stealing passwords.

HONESTLY?

Jeeze caroline, don't leave any cash in E-Gold, its a sad excuse for a money exchange!

I cashed out $126 from 1Heluva the other day, the second it arrived in my E-Gold account I transferred it to MoneyBookers, then on to my bank account!

How many sites got hit? Sounds like the hacker is attacking everybody? ah.gif

It's called covering your tracks. They dont want you to know what they are doing. It's obviously someone that has the information about the scripts and knows what they are doing. That sort of thing screams webmaster/mistress.

I have to say this. It is someone who knows how all the different types of scripts. That includes both CC and CAC scripts, and others. Since it is not just CC scripts sites being hit hard.

Okay, it looks like BePaidforEmails is also being hacked as well, and the owner is bemybubble who also posted he lost his e-gold account. Another webmaster who also lost his e-gold account to hackers was Ken of One Cent Mail. I think we need all the webmasters to be on a lookout, and to help the ones who are new, and may not know what is going on.
KensLuv22
Ya know, if this is a guy, I would love to see him strung up by his nuts with a piano wire!!!!!!!

A girl...........hot poker is all I have to say!!!!

I had to choose from what was listed in the poll, so of course it was #1.

I like my 2 options better, tho!!!

<evil grin>
kimberley49
Actually, I was thinking of stringing up the guy by his nuts, tying his hands behind his back, pouring honey all over his nether regions, and then letting the fire ants loose.

If it's a girl...well, I hadn't put much thought into that one, so so far the hot poker sounds the best to me.

Now that does sound like a good one!! LOL!!

I didn't read this topic ~

But how do we know these site owners didn't just delete their own Data bases ? hmmmmm ( some of them anyway )

Also if they do daily back ups by cron and save them server side and on their PC once a day ~

reupload your data from the previous day and start over from day before and change your passoword ~

hackers or no hackers NO biggie about a deleted data base
funkymotha
THAT was the first thing checked by John when I emailed him new years day ... I hadnt deleted my members and I have since backed up and lost THAT backup on site too!

did you change your password via ssh ? then auth protect your scripts

like

http://cashpoints.jaydillar.com/scripts/admin/

then use the CC password feature ?

hiya Jay

well, lets just say i deleted the old database of 587 members after i just sent them all an email to please update their membership so they can be paid by thursday or friday.

then 6 hours later they are gone. poof.

then i go back to site admin and see over 300 new members. i delete them.

then i go back to the admin site again 4 hours later and delete another 100 or so members actually i think it was 92 only.

then i go back the next morning and delete more new members.

gosh i'm having fun with your idea rofl

anyways, the problem is that the deletions on coppercoins is not coming from the site admin or my cpanel.

the script to delete is being run from another website.

thats how we know its a webmaster out for revenge for me.

oh you wanna loan me some bucks? i lost out big time and didnt even invest for this loss lol
Jays-PaidMail
ai.gif No one said you did

But I was told there was 24 sites hacked in all and if they are being ran from another web server then John & Frank need to ad @ referrers in their scripts

that blocks the execution of any script execution on any of their scripts other then the sites actual domain name

this would be good for preventing those cheater forums from posting past links as well

nope but that the best thing I have heard ... just off to work .. gonna come home upload d/b and do just that .. ty!

Jay, I think the problem with some of this is that some of the webmasters are new, or may not know the workings of the behind the scene, or who needs help when problems occure. Some of the sites that have been hacked that I know is from all the scripts. I heard that some of Driss's scripts also got hit by the same thing as well. So, it is not just CC or CAC, but everybody. It could be more of a wide spread issue than just 24. Cash-Po is still down after the hack attack to that site.

That's what I mean - my site is Cash Crusader based, so are these ones we're hearing about. I assume that makes me a candidate for the hackers.

I'm just crossing my fingers and fading into the background.
Poncer
Okay, I am beginning to see Chris Houlihan's sites are also a possible targets as well. I read Email Earners went down on the 28th of last month. Members are complaining about his FastCashEmails accounts are disappearing, or never recieved e-mails. I guess I am the only one who has recieved the e-mails. I talked to someone in PM that Chris was not on in MSN for the last several days. I am not sure what to explain about this, but us members need to keep an eye out for things like this, and report it to all the webmasters who are involved. It is causing havoc for everybody involved.

i voted

u get him rhea
ILostMyTrueLove
i have news for all:

bad news:

the hacker gets away scot free unless someone finds him, other than John.

cuz he wasnt caught.

instead the scripts and new stuff was added to prevent all of this from happeneing again.

so we'll never find him.

am.gif How could people be so cruel to each other? Don't they have a life? Why can't they get a life? 3,000 dollars is a lot of money. Get the FBI and the cia and the cops and whomever else there is to find out whho is doing this. They are messing with our lives here.

Wow - Great - Just what the industry really needs - another 'lovely person' (note the sarcasm!!) person deciding to wreck peoples lives.

The thing is, they aren't just getting at the webmasters - the members suffer too.

Rhea, - I voted 1 but wuld luv to do the third, and a couple of other suggestions sound good (Kimberly I think had a good one).

Hope you manage to get it all straightened - You are one of the people in this business that REALLY doesn't deserve this.

ILMTL - Glad you got most of it back! Why can't people just earn the money honestly! Think I'll keep that url ar.gif in prep.
ILostMyTrueLove
yep.

now to get our hacker!

isnt it strange how the words FBI worked so fast?
icheeky
my 2p.

Whoever is doing it is not stealing data, they are forcing a DROP TABLE command that effectively just drops/deletes a db.

It is also not a CAC or other script problem, as I use my own scripts and have had the same problem :/
