Ok, I think I need to express a concern, pet peeve, complaint or whatever term anyone wishes to call it.

It seems that whatever someone posts there are those select few who seem to enjoy coming in and twisting words out of context or using sarcasm as a way to misconstrue the total meaning of a post/thread.

In the last say month or so, I have seen some banned. I can only assume it was for their posting style.....but assuming tends to get one in trouble. While others are still here posting inciting heated arguments.

Valid points end up nullified and void in threads because some find it funny to come in and make light of a situation or point fingers etc.

Granted not all of us (myself included) are great communicators with words. Nor am I the best at presenting myself in a manner that some have mastered at being very nice when posting an opposing view.

I myself do not intend to belittle or make light of situations, but I do tend to point out inconsistencies in a posters thread when I feel a mis-justice is going on.

I truly believe that there are those here with intentions of turning threads away from their intended purpose.

As adults we can all agree to disagree.......however, I am finding more and more that no one can post and carry on a resonable conversation without someone coming in and disrupting a sometimes viable thread.

I know mods are short handed. I know certain rules and guidelines need to be followed......but I think consistency is lacking.

I believe that is up to members to help the mods make this forum a resource of usable information rather than some of the rhetoric and antics I have seen posted.

Sarcasm, innuenods, posting in such a way as to incite other members to respond in anger causing them to get into trouble while the person doing so still smells like a rose........posting just to post to start a heated argument.........these things really need to stop.

People wonder why the forum gets called names........well we ALL are the reason for that.

I'm sorry to everyone that I do not have good communication skills....and I do not mean to come across point blank......I really try to post so that I am not hurting feelings but I know sometimes I probably do.

Anyhow, I just really needed to say this because there are a few threads going on where there are what I call fence post riders whom fall off which ever side of the fence suits their purpose to incite hard feelings and harsh words to be spoken to each other.

I'm sure others have seen it as well. I'm not saying people are not entitled to change their mind.......but if one looks and reads you will see those that will go either way on an issue if it will disrupt the validity of the thread.

And I for one am tired of this.

I apologize for venting here....and I am not pointing figures just stating what I see and felt the need to say something.

This site has potential but it is up to the members to make this an informative site where as adults we can agree to disagree and still keep the lines of communication open.

Again, I apologize if I posted in such a fashion that offended someone because I lack good PR skills.

ptrhost,

i understand what you're saying, i really do. BUT, aren't there two sides to every coin? not everything is as rosy as some are led to believe - and i feel this forum is just the place for that:

to give views, opinions mind you, on all types of programs on the net.

sure some folks like to ruffle feathers, but in my opinion that is when a person's true character comes out - how do they stand up under pressure.

i honestly don't care about most of these programs one way or the other - what i DO care about is that people are allowed to see ALL sides and make up their own minds, sort of like what you say you are doing when you point out things that are "inconsistencies".

what is not valid to you may be quite relevant to others and vice versa.

and not to beat a dead horse, but this does remain a PUBLIC forum, and just as we have to tolerate the numerous cheats within our midst, some of the more thought provoking (notice i didn't say 'insulting') posters must be tolerated as well.

Honestly, I see this as a continuation of the AYS thread .. or possibly the subject posted in ForumIssues.

You said what I was thinking, ti smile.gif .. no use in my trying to repeat it.
