Ok I've got a half a million favs in IE and Firefox. Is there a program that will check the links AND delete the non-working links without going through each bookmark and checking the site? I know there are programs that you have to pay for but I am looking for something free if possible.

Have you tried searching on a site like http://www.download.com i normally find thats a great place for software.

I havent actually come across a free bookmark manager, but there is bound to be one about.

I 've been using a little program called Linksweep, I've had it for years; don't know if you can still find it online or not, so if anyone wants it I've uploaded it to my site in ZIP file, it was free when I downloaded it. I haven't used it in a while so don't know if it works with newer versions of browser's. It works for both Netscape and IE

Thanks Charmeyn! Linksweep works great with IE on my '98 pc's at work. I'll give it a try at home on XP
