In an email to it's members the webmistress of Pocket Jingle decided to sell her site. She wanted Rhea from Tombmailer to take it over but Rhea is also selling her site. Brenda doesn't have time to run her site. Therefore Pocket Jingle will not be sending any email till they find a new owner. If no owner is found they will go offline.

Dear PocketJingle Members:
I regret this TERRIBLY, but my personal situation at work is going to be too demanding to run PJ at the same time.
What is truly awful is that I made this decision this weekend. I had been going to turn it over to Rhea of Tombmailer, but SHE decided to sell Tombmailer. So, here I am, writing this particular letter.
I realize that many of you are eligible for payout NOW, and I will do my best to ensure that you get there. I sincerely apologize for this and hope that you all can take it in stride.
As a business, PJ has never been tremendously profitable. It's paid for itself up by the skin of it's teeth, but not been profitable for me. I ran PJ because I enjoyed it. I must confess that the slump in PTRE hurt PJ's revenues too much to recover from on it's own, and with my employment situation (I only make $8 an hour now) I cannot cover PJ's costs.
I am entertaining bids on PJ, if anyone is interested, please contact me.

Regardless, PJ will not be running ads until a new owner is found, and will be going offline if a new owner is NOT found.
With many regrets,
Brenda

2 programs I've worked pretty much by myself, might have 1 or 2 referrals in each if that, almost get myself to payout and they're selling, just my luck, I guess.

what a shame - these were 2 of my fave programs. The owners were great too.

They gave me a laugh in a amongst all my emails.
Hopefully a good owner is found for both programs that won't take all our hard earned money from us.

I had nightmares all night about selling PJ, that I was flamed on the Forum
(used to that) and that I let people down who really really cared about whether
or not they got my emails. (Not used to that...)
For every single one of you who emeiled me and IM'ed me, thank you for your
support...
I still will have to find TIME to run PJ, and revenues still STINK, but I
repent!
O' Reverend Jim Bob, where are you when I need you??
Alrighty guys, let's make a deal -
I will not sell PJ and you will be patient with me
:-). Wait a sec, you guys are already patient.. hmmmm.
Again, I would like to apologize for the uproar.
I need to find cheaper hosting and figure some other things out. I will
let you know what is going on.
Thanks for your patience,
Brenda

Good grief, I finally made the 'news'!! And it's for ME SELLING THEN NOT SELLING PJ!!! LOLOLOL!
Thank you all for your positive-ness. You know, I only got ONE nasty comment, and of course I treated that one as I always do, as entertainment for all...
I will do my best to keep up with things.
I do think, however, that people need to be prepared for the demise of many many programs. It's like a gold rush to find that it's only fake gold. Programs initially make a bit of money, get big, then participation drops off and membership drops off now that we delete inactives. I truly think that there are no more than 10,000 active members for most programs and they are all in most of the sites. It's a dead-end type situation.
I am not trying to be depressing, but there's NOT a whole lot of money floating around for those of us who run only one program since we do not LIKE the veritable PLETHORA of new clone sites popping up everywhere and will not BUY another one. There's simply a finite source of funds. PTR is on it's way out as we know it. Who knows where things will all end up, but things will bottom out eventually, and only the ones with a LOT of revenue are going to be left standing, or the ones that are financed as hobbies.
Getting angry about it won't help, and acting awful to each other in these tough times won't either.
I myself have saved my lovely emails from the last few days for when I get another nasty one and I feel like all the late nights and transfers from my bank account aren't worth it. PJ is a business, but it's really a rewarding hobby that generally pays for itself. If it weren't, I wouldn't be running it.
I run PJ for wantumbucks, who was one of my first customers and who made my kids laugh, trying to 'influence the judges' in our gold membership raffle.... I run PJ for mathcraver, who called me on the phone from Canada one time just to chat, I run PJ for Rhea and venomx and all the other crazy, great people I have met online... I run my program for all the grandma's out there who have shared photos of their kids, for all the great guys out there who send me notes, for all the bored-out-of-their-minds-with-Sesame-Street moms, lucky enough to be at home and terrific enough to be PJ members. I run PJ for the fun of it. I don't do ANYTHING that I do not enjoy because life is simply too precious to waste.
I do not run PJ for money, because there isn't any. If you are in PJ for money, you'd better just either give up, or get real patient, because I certainly do not have five bucks to pay everyone. I pay as I go. Even if I had saved every cent I'd ever made with PJ, it wouldn't be enough to pay members and that's the plain truth.
PJ has bought milk for my kids and I when I had no paycheck. PJ has bought my medications when I had no paycheck. PJ has even bought one of my son and daughter's Xmas presents because they only had one present each from me and they had a TON from their dad and I felt bad. Yup. Go on, flame me!
My kids have sacrificed time with Mom for PJ. "Wait honey, I just need to finish these emails", "No, sweetie, you can't play on on the computer, Mommy's working..." and so on. I've lost TONS of sleep and eaten many meals at my pc, particularly when I had so many technical problems. I've put a lot of money into PJ as well. It all comes out even.
As for selling PJ, it will be tricky finding time, I will be working 10 hours a day soon. And revenues are so low I will not be able to make all payouts monthly. No, ads do not pay for members' payouts. not at the low prices ads sell for right now.
But I will not sell PJ. IF I do go out of business ever, I will make my best attempt to make payouts as well. That was the only reason I wanted to sell PJ, is to pay out the members who just reached payout.
Hang in with me, if you choose. I thank you for it.
