I altered this and took the search button off because I wasnt sure if it would show up after I posted it but other then that this is how the ad ran

This was run 12/26/02 on TheMoneySuite

It states quite clearly ALL over SearchBotz NO INCENTIVIZED searchs

So your acount WAS deleted but it wasnt for NO reason
hubcaps
samething happened to me.

But it says "Please" make a search not "Make a search for 15 points."

I don't see what there problem is. They make money for each and every click.
DGE1754
What dont you get about it? Actually I think it's quite simple.

It doesnt matter what the wording is. The point is it's a incentivized search which means someone gets a reward for clicking and searching.

SearchBotz is a search engine WITH an affiliate program. Not a paid to click paid to surf or anything else.

Anyone that incentivizes will be deleted plain and simple

It hurts the honest members
ppprk
One question here.

If we submit our search link to traffic exchange programs,it's a incentivized search too ?
I don't think that is a incentivized search
,but people will get point or credit for viewing that page
Search is optional & people will get credit even if they don't search

ppprk...do you mean like 1Heluva? or something like that?

ppprk...do you mean like 1Heluva? or something like that?

yes, traffic programs like cashclicking,click4u,ilovelclick,1Heluva,clickitycash,Paymetoday, Global Traffic Trader,etc..
DGE1754
OK well I dont know how some of them work but I know I see them on 1Heluva because I surf there and to me thats OK.

The problem is when someone clicks a link to your SearchBotz ref link to do a search and the originating URL is checked by the feeds (and yes they watch them closely especially SearchFeed...have been contact VIA phone by them at home). The feeds se ANYTHING that looks like a paid to read site etc they contact us....they dont like that type of traffic.

They either #1 delete your account (all $$ gone)...which is how I pay our members

or like SearchFeed they block certain keywords and move you down so that the bid prices are very low....thus meaning less $$ for each member to make as a member of SearchBotz

It's a fine line and some feeds dont allow traffic exchanges or even exit exchanges for that matter. If they feeds contact me and want all traffic to stop from traffic exchanges for example...I will have NO choice but to ban that also. But for right now I havent heard anything from them about such traffic.

Members of SearchBotz could be making more at this time IF there wasnt so much incentivized traffic. People fail to see this. SearchFeed lowered all the bids. If we had more quality traffic they will perhaps bring them back up. I am trying hard to deal with incentive traffic. More cheat protection will be in place within a month.

I take SearchBotz seriously...this isnt a hobby for me. I will be improving it as time goes on. Making the script better...the traffic better...and in the long run this will be the best for members because it will mean better feeds which pay better. Has anyone ever looked at the long form find-what has to become a partner and use their feed? The reason they are so picky is that they want quality traffic...but they PAY good thats the difference.

I am not deleting accounts to scam people. I am deleting accounts to improve things for the honest members who work hard.

By the way if anyone is wondering about payments it wont be today (we usually pay on the first day of each month even though our terms say within the first week of the month)
Things are a bit delayed with the holidays etc but payments will be sent out like the terms say within the first week of the month aa.gif

So is it okay if one creates a portal page (with the newer code you have in the affiliate section), uploads it to their own site and uses that in PTR? That way the originating URL would be your own site and not a link from a PTR e-mail. Just double-checking before I create my own portal page. be.gif

here's an idea ~ rather than tell people what they can't do, why not make it clear what they can do!

i for one would feel a lot better knowing what i am allowed to do, because to me at the moment, all my options for using searchbotz have been closed. i don't use traffic exchanges.
Kristin
well i went to check my account as someone mentioned close to payout time....and i have $0.00!!!!

Your paid search listings at SearchBotz.com for your account (username kristin) have been removed because your balance has reached zero dollars.  These listings will be put back once you add money to your account.  Any free listings you may have are still active.

If you want to add more funds to your account you can go here: http://www.searchbotz.com/accounts.cgi

Thank you,

really? i don't have any sites listed! have emailed them....

it may pay to check your account ao.gif
DGE1754
stringer..yes that would be a good idea for the portal page and thats why I did create it to give people another option aa.gif

kristin...I dont know how to deal with your question about listing what you can do...what do you do with yahoo? or any other search engine you use? You use to when you ned to search for something...afterall that is what a search engine is.

I think its pretty clear NO INCENTIVIZING...if that leaves you no other option then perhaps SearchBotz is not the program for you aa.gif

I am not trying to be a smartbutt I am just stating the facts. If you plan on using SearchBotz in a manner that isnt exceptable in the terms then it is not the program for you.

Also kristin I replied to your email the answer to your question is in the FAQ page

Also one last thing I might be co owner of SearchBotz and yes I might come into this forum. BUT I purposely dont have a support folder for any of my programs in here because I come into this forum for the sole purpose of gathering information and just reading fun things in the chit chat folder.
Eevery email sent to webmaster@searchbotz.com is answered either by Pete or myself. I as co owner with Peter have a much different role then he does. He deals with all members issues, I deal with site design the scripts and marketing. SO basically I am saying if you want your questioned answered you need to contact Peter at webmaster@searchbotz.com because I will not be addressing questions in here.

That includes the many PMs I get about SearchBotz. There is a FAQs page a Terms page and and email contact on each page so there is no reason you can not try those options first.

I dont mean to come off harsh just that I have alot to do behind the scenes at SearchBotz and answering questions etc is not my role thats Petes role...uumm he has to earn his keep somehow ab.gif

Your questions will be answered if you just use email believe me aa.gif

I thought if you sent people to your own web page and they did a search - then that was fine - I'm sure you posted that previously here before. I'm off to have a look to see if I can find it.... sorry for any misunderstanding!
Halsten
Ok I found this forum..

http://www.getpaidforum.com/forums/index.p...f=1&t=20228&hl=

entitled 'What is an incentive search...

This is a quote from DGE1754...

'The best thing to do if you want searchs is to place the SearchBotz searchbox or link on your home page. Send people there to check out your site and PERHAPS make a search dont ask them to. '

I guess I just stuffed up by saying 'Please make a search'!
Kristin
so now i'm wondering if you send them to your search page and say "check out these search engines" but also include (beside or below the search box/link) your referral link to sign up, then would that be okay? just a thought....
wantumbucks
I just got paid todayfor Dec earnings. THANK YOU SearchBotz!

But did notice something in my account.

you don't have to worry about that wantumbucks. that is only for advertisers, but will appear to affiliates too. your earnings won't disappear aa.gif
