I'm signed up to so many programs, I don't know which one is spamming me and playing around with my email address. First comes the porn. You know, "#1 Male Organ Enlargement on the Net" ao.gif , "Hardcore XXX", "Free Porn Through Email", etc. Now I'm starting to get virus emails as well ah.gif . I have a lot of people using my computer, if they accientally open it, it'll be a disaster.

So far, 3 porn ads and 2 virus emails yesterday. It's not going to do good blocking them, even with a filter program, since it's always fake email addresses.

Does anyone have some idea which program might be the culprit? I haven't a clue HOW I'm even going to check them out one-by-one...

Using Outlook? Tell it to not download any message greater than x kb. Set up spam filter rules. Never get any legitimate e-mails with terms such as "XXX" or "porn" in them? (hey, you might...) Set up a rule to automatically delete them. All this is explained by either Outlook Assistant (the annoying paperclip) or the Ask A Question feature in XP versions, at the top right of windows.

Got antivirus? Buy Norton AntiVirus 2003 (Or get SystemWorks, Internet Security, or all 3) Personally, I think it's the best one out there

It does not always have to be a GPTR site that sends spam.

Yes i get them too.

But there are reasons for them.

Check your internet settings on your web browser, make it so you log onto web sites annonamously and dont accept third party cookies.

Also check who your virus software is from.

If you look at Symantecs website in regards to if you use thier virus software.

They sell your e-mail address and they admit it to you.

But yes setting up a filter in outlook express or outlook if you use them helps, but some slip through.

I use a virus program that tells me if an E-mail has a virus and will not let me open it at all. PM me if you want to know who. Its Australian.

Hope this helps
