i saw this on yahoo. does this mean that you cant put ur links on a geocities website unless ur a premium member??:

and plus im having major probs getting page builder to load, and even when it does, chances r its gonna *%&* up and not be able to save or load or anything!

i've never really had problems w/ geocities. i think what they mean by remote loading (or what the definition they give sounds like) is that you link to OTHER webpages.. geocities was created mainly for people to have their own 'personal' websites about themselves, so when you clicked on a link, it usually just went to another page they made about themselves. but now, lots of people are using the free service for their profit, so remote loading would be when you clicked on a link and it took you to say http://www.getpaidforum.com instead of geocities. i think....

i've never had problems w/ pagebuilder loading. like i offered for summersun and theraven, if you need help w/ it, i'll go in and do some work for ya, then you can change the password and i can't get back in :smile: offer is open, so let me know. sorry about your mishaps w/ it though :frown:

And here all this time I thought it was just me! :smile: When and if I can get the stupid thing to load up, it always locks up
my computer! I haven't been able to update my site in quite sometime now..

I haven't used my old geocities site since I found stormpages.com
The geocities always took FOREVER to load and I kept having to preview it to see if things were where I thought I'd placed them when doing the page builder. And the preview took a long time to load up too :frown:
Also the stormpages has unlimited bandwidth so I won't get my site "turned off" for going over my monthly bandwidth quota like I did when I used geocities. :smile:

hotlinking means you can't link to a file from another site.

I don't like geocities. Haven't been in it in a loooong time, wonder if they've changed anything for the better?

I use geosites for ym personal home page but hate that is 2 people view it it closes down for a hour (free member)
