Does anyone know when Gmail is going to be officially launched?

what do you mean?
They have been waiting too long with GMAIL. Yahoo and MSN are already offering 100MB + lots of other services. I needed huge inbox 6 months ago but I don't need it anymore. Besides that looks like everyone doesn't like the idea of scanning user's emails and serving appropriate ads even if it is done by the machine. This long quiet period made me move to another solution - Yahoo's. No Gmail for me
yahoo scans mails as well to detect spams...
