Hi to all..

The Red Cross and the Salvation Army are in Florida helping picking up the pieces after Hurricane Charley. If you would like to help, both organizations are asking for monitary donations. You can call the Red Cross at 1-800-HELP NOW or the Salvation Army at 1-800-SAL-ARMY.

You can make donations at the red cross site..also if you have air miles u can donate those...also it seems some of the coinstar machines are now equipped to take donations...

sOME OF THe publix stores were also taking donations...

if you go to your local salvation army you may be able to make a direct donation, we also did this..

our parish st vincent depaul is sending all our normal food baskets there too..
we took in donations after each mass this weekend and these are going directly to charley

you might want to make sure that stuff is going to Charley ...as some may not be sending the stuff right there...<grin>

if you live in florida you can contact your local parish/st vincent de paul/ and/or Catholic Charities...baby items, pampers, needed....sanitary items for women are always needed and often forgotten....BUG SPRAY BUG SPRAY.....

also for freebie lovers...I was able to take a lot of freebies stuff I ordered and did not/could not use and took them in smile.gif That is just one more reason that freebies rule!!

The storm is over..but the cleanup sucks and it takes forever, being without lights, water in the florida heat sucks, losing everything...it is just sooo hard and so sad...I lived thru andrew and I would not wish this on anyone and I had it good in andrew, minor damage and no lights for 5 days, big deal..this is sooo sad..so please if u can give....or at least keep these people in your prayers...
this area hit had a lot of elderly and lot of lower income people, they do need everything and anything any one can spare..thanks
