No one posted this here so I guess I will...
Webmasters/program owners:
There is someone on this forum that has appeared to have gone completely psycho/whacko/berserk and is literally GIVING AWAY his accounts. A few people have checked a handful of TOS's but nothing has been found...is this legal??? Is selling accounts legal as well, particularly if theres money in the accounts and theres a really good size downline?
Just wondering...

If nothing in the tos forbids it, then it should be acceptable.
It probably wouldn't bother me if one of my members did that; but then again, maybe it would depend on the circumstances.

would depend too on if the person buying the account already had an account there.....and if the New owner of the account updated the account with accurate information

I would say the person selling the account would verify with the owner of the program prior to selling/giving away. I am willing to transfer referrals if my members wish to do so, after accounts are checked out and all.

I have once tried to sell my Mec-co-op account and was called cheater because of it, but it was a time when the webmistress had financial problems and she was doing everything just not to pay her members.
It wasn't written in her TOS that selling accounts is forbidden, but now it is - she has added that information later.
I don't know why selling accounts should be considered cheating. My earnings are my property and I can do whatever I want with them - including selling them. If I don't want to participate in a program anymore and someone wants to take over my account why not make such deal? I get the money, some person gets an account with earnings and refferals and the webmaster gets an active member. Everyone should be happy.

My program TOS' state you can't give away or sell your accounts. I've seen several that say it and several that don't. Depends on the program.

why not? you'd rather have a member leave your program than give the account to someone else? *sigh*
