QUOTE (tipsy @ Dec 15 2002, 02:45 PM)
his paypal account has been locked by paypal which means all November earnings can not be paid at this time as well as any advertising purchased on Friday can not be processed
Actually, November earnings were sent on December 8 for Opt-in-Pays (and Dec. 1 for LinkBurst and Links2cash), so most people got paid. Just those that don't have their account set to automatically claim it and didn't claim it yet, did not receive their earnings.
Also, there was no advertising purchased on Friday until I got the new payment system in place. Those purchases were processed as well as all PayPal transactions leading up to the account being locked. PayPal didn't allow payments to go through after they locked it and showed this message when someone got to the payment page: "This recipient is currently unable to receive money."
Currently, it looks like my PayPal account will be locked for a while, if not forever. They claim that they'll hold on to my balance (it was at about $1300 as I transferred money out the day earlier) for 180 days to cover any chargebacks that may occur and then release it to me.
The main thing I need now is the details of the recent mass payments I sent out for everyone's earnings. I am completely locked out of the account and can't view any transactions or anything. Without the mass payment details, I do not really know who actually received the money sent to them and who did not, so for those that did not claim their money, I will not be able to pay them until I get the transaction data from PayPal.
I'm not really concerned about the rest of it, as PayPal has basically lost my business. Apparently over a thousand dollars in transactions fees per month isn't that important to them to keep me as their customer. There are lots of other options to pay our members. While I have not decided yet what the payment methods will be, these ones look like good posibilities: moneybookers.com, qchex.com, and egold.

I guess I was a lucky one who got paid for Nov. clicks. My Pay Pal account shows that I was paid from Opt-In-Pays on Dec. 8th. The same day the Opt account shows they were processing payment to me.

I also got paid on Dec. 1st from Links2Cash for Nov.
I guess this is going to effect our December clicks. Hope everyone got paid for Novembers clicks!

With the discovery of qchex.com, I will probably be able to lower it and I may add an option to combine all 3 payments for that. I'm still looking to see how qchex works and all though.

What I dont understand is, last week when we had all the furore about paypal, and the GPTR industry, it was written that Paypal understood what GPTRE was and how it worked, so by freezing optinpays ect, the situation is still as bad as it was, and again the whole business is in danger.....
I have been looking at brightpay too, out of all the other systems this one definatly looks the best, with moneybookers, and netpay close behind

I think PayPal may be out for good as a payment option for us. There are

be a suitable replacement for everyone. We have not yet decided what

I know this is sorta off-topic for Opt-In-Pays & PayPal, but I kinda wish Opt-In & the other 2 wouldn't pay out monthly! Or better yet, would offer me the choice. When I started GPTR I really liked getting their payments monthly; at least I felt like I was getting something each month! But now I'm getting paid by other programs, I wish I could let my earnings from Gilby Prod. add up a little bit, rather than get .50 here, $1.32 there, etc.
Gilby - since you won't be using the PayPal mass payment system, maybe you could make "hold payment for this month" an option?

They do offer you this option. You can click on the "Hold Payment" button in your member profile.
Which is exactly what I did. And which means I chose to let accumulate my October and November earnings with Opt-in-Pays and Links2Cash, as well as November earnings with LinkBurst. You know what happened afterwards...

egold is open to everyone. exchange rates run from 4% to whatever
and stormpay is owned by an MLM bigshot and I dont trust him. He hides this fact from all stormpay members which accounts for the high fees.
in order for a US citizen like me to join moneybrokers, i need to get a credit card to fund moneybrokers and they also have fees which are higher than paypal.
my suggestion is to find a person who doesnt have an account frozen with paypal (a business account) and do a mass pay with that for all members.
there are a couple of international programs such as cashforaction who does this and no problems have ever arisen.

My account was not locked because of it being a gpt site or thought of as an mlm or anything. It's because of fraudulent purchases that were made with stolen credit cards, hacked PayPal accounts, and such. PayPal's solution to that is to remove the high risk merchants where these stolen credit cards would be used, instead of doing something to prevent the use of stolen credit cards to begin with. PayPal should be doing more to help us catch these fraudulent purchases instead of leaving us in the dark about it all.

Did you know that paypal is covering their hinnies too? They are in the same leaque too with the downlines etc. Maybe that is why they hooked up and let the name of Ebay cover them. It is sad that they don't take care of their customers with email notices when likes of this comes along! I have been with them for years. I am a small fry but one thing for sure;

Payment methods:
Paypal:
sucks I had also troubles with paypal so I stopped using it.
Stormpay:
they are thieves, I made a deposit with my credit card for 75$ and they charged me 8.85$
Moneybookers:
if you don't login within 2 weeks and you did not send a fax to proof your identity they close your account.
E-gold:
Still the cheapiest way to put money on the net, I'm using icegold to put money on my e-gold account and they charge only 4%. And I had never troubles with it. Once my account was blocked by e-gold but after a mail they phoned me and send me a letter to me by first class air-mail. They really have a good service. (my account balance was then 56cent and it costed them a lot more to phone me and send me a letter)
