There has been a lot of print in many different forums about AYS.
They were boycotted for a while on GPTBoycott.com. The boycott was
lifted but the controversy seems to go on. The latest controversy
is the canceling and banning of all members from Vietnam.
I have never heard of anyone who has been paid from AYS in at least
seven (yes that is 7!!!) months. And although I agree with cheat-links,
I can't agree with a penalty of $50. That's like giving a life term for
Jaywalking.
I will admit that I am biased in my writing this. I hit a cheat-link.
I had gotten behind and was trying to catch up. I was in the wrong and I
sent an e-mail to Ays with-in seconds of hitting the cheat link explaining
this. After not receiving an answer in two weeks, I sent another e-mail.
Both e-mails were polite and I just asked for a response. It has now
been over a month and still no response. I know they are a large site
and very busy, but considering I put every penny I earned back into their
site ($170 on Gold member and ads) I think I deserve an answer not the
snub I have gotten.
A business works when the two sides work together. Yet it seems to me
that AYS is in this for themselves and screw anyone that disagrees with
them. I think you will see them stick around until the ad dollars dry
up, and that will be the last you see of them.
And be careful that your country isn't the next to be knock off AYSs'
pay list.
But then again this is just my opinion. I have been a member of over a
hundred sites in the last two years. AYS is the only site that I have
felt strongly enough about to express this type of disappointment about.
A business has to be accountable to its' customers and employees or it
ceases? to be a credible business. Please boycott this site. Or boycott me.
But don't ignore the problem. Make AYS accountable for their actions.
Sincerely,
Tim

Hello Tim,
I am sorry that you are angry.
I did indeed receive your email:

message_type: Hi,
I hit the cheat link by mistake. I've
gotten behind on my e-mails and trying to catch-up I was careless. I have been with you for almost a year and have always been and honest member. I have also put everything I've made back into AYS.
Could you see your way to give me another chance. I promise to be more careful in the future.
Sincerely,
Tim
So - with your request - you
expected to be excluded?
Tired? Careless? You must have been to miss the warnings of the email:

text:
Please Do Not click the link in this email.
NOTICE: this is NOT an AYS 5 cent paid email.
If you click the link in this email - your AYS earnings will automatically be reduced by $50.00.

This was designed so that you would need to scroll thru the text - which is very clear - in order to reach the link below this huge block
ACTION AREA.
Obviously you missed all of the warning text - so I will bold in red the most imperative portion regarding the email that you sent and
EXPECTED a reply:
This action will not be reversed under any circumstances. Controversy continues?
You bet it does - you see Individuals seem to continue to
NOT take responsibility for
their own actions.

All I? asked for was a response from you. But I quess you were just to busy . I wish we could have worked this out. But not; so this is my statement I sent out;

P.S.
Have you never made a mistake. If not,
I apologize.
At minimum - you have at least followed thru with your
THREAT .
I did my duty - I apologize that you had a problem with
YOUR duty.
I do believe however, that most Advertisers appreciate MY consistant desire to offer them the best unique TRUE readers available on the net.
Hopefully - my personal response to you now - makes you feel a little better.
