Hi...

if you add plug ins to a cc site...and new versions comes out....when u upgrade your site, what happense to the plug ins??
must they be reinstalled or ??? backed up before the upgrade??

or do they keep on working or ?? any insight into this appreciated..

From what I understand all plugins work fine after a script update. I personally haven't had to do an update since installing plugins but remember reading this somewhere.

Yes the plug-ins work fine after update.

The plugins should continue to work, except for these two reasons:

1. Part of the installation included editing core CC files (like functions.inc.php). These files are overwritten when doing updates. In this case you need to add these changes once again.
2. Part of the upgrade changed files/varibles that the plugin uses, or depends on. In this case you would need to contact the plugin author for updates or changes.
