Get Paid Forum - Get Paid Discussion > Get Paid To Programs > Complaints
barbinco
When threads deteriorate into name-calling, ugliness and flaming, and veer so far off topic that people need to ask, "what were we originally talking about, anyway?", it's time for a moderator to step in and close the thread. Come on, mods, do your job!

The purpose of this folder is to post complaints about issues relevant to the GPTRE industry. Let's make an effort to stay on topic. If you have a beef against someone that is strictly personal, take it to PM.

It is none of the business of the vast majority of members of this forum if a person has a seamy personal life or emotional problems. Bringing your concerns to a public forum is shameful. Once again, take it to PM or e-mail.

The dispute between webmasters has also become a circus. Work it out between yourselves or not -- don't do a Jerry Springer on this forum. Everyone who is not personally involved in this issue should MYOB.

Get back to the issues relevant to this industry and keep the other nonsense between yourselves. I'd tell you to grow up but in the case of a large number of you, I'd say those were wasted words. am.gif

i'm not here to stop members from arguing. if the posts do get way out of hand, you'll notice that most ARE closed and fade away.. this isn't the easiet job and w/ only 3-4 mods checking the folders where over 4000+ people come and post everyday it starts to get out of hand.. each day when i log in, i see that there are over 200-300 NEW posts in the folders that i moderate to go read up on and check..

if you really want to see a difference here, you can help us by pming the appropriate mod when you see a rule being violated or something that you don't like and we will do our best to solve whatever the problem is.. otherwise, you're not doing much by putting us down.. it's not like we're getting paid for this either.

on the other hand, i agree that all arguing and personal beefs shoud be kept in the pm's but it seems that lots of members like to read the soap-opera's going on here..

yeah, as the forum turns is my second favorite soapy

posts of our lives is my fav

ba.gif

seriously though, maybe a "contact moderator" button at the top of every post, so that if there's something off topic, it can be hit and sent straight to the mod (like a pm), and the moderator just has to hit the button and are taken straight to the offending message?

kay, just a thought, please ignore the user behind the curtain

Yeah, the long threads are not happy for mods, I'm guessing. As I was reading it, I came across a scathing expletive-laden personal attack, and thought "where are the mods" and then I realized "still at page 5" while I was on page 30-something. It gets really hard to remove the inappropriate stuff if there's too much stuff in general.

Well, the damage is done for last night because people posted nasty stuff about me. It does hurt, and that the mods allowed it to happened.

Poncer, the mods' job is not to delete things about people that might hurt their feelings. That is censorship.

kg, the posts from last night is really nasty, and should not have been posted to hurt people. I happened to like kids, and want to be safe, but I don't deserve to be called a child molester because I want to help protect the kids.

Yet it's just fine for you to go in to a thread that has nothing to do with you and post your sob stories. Not good practice for someone with your "tastes".

Well PEHAPS, just PERHAPS if you quit causing trouble everywhere you go which always seems to cause conflicts people MIGHT, just MIGHT stop being some what fed up with you. Now lets see if you can understand this post without distorting it making me a ballet dancer from the former Soviet Union.
How about it comrade? Will you stop causing trouble?
