Hi all,

I would say something about last days Paypal story:

PAYPAL DID NOT BLOCK ANY GPTR OWNER'S ACCOUNT WITHOUT REASON.

I repeat: THIS IS ONLY A RUMOR
Fred Srock (Owner of Clickity Cash and 1Heluva) spread this word, BUT THIS NOTICE IS NOT CORRECT.
As you well know Clickity Cash and 1Heluva are not Paid to read progs, but kind of Investment Plans and THIS IS THE REASON WHY PAYPAL HAS FROZE FRED'S ACCOUNT!!!

....read what ISAAF Mod wrote

".....a person has reportedly contacted PayPal; "they telephoned PayPal regarding 2 PTRs and the PayPal rep told them that they would continue to support those sites."

So, the question is, is Fred trying to put the blame elsewhere, and as a result is causing a big internet scare?

Fred states in this last email that he lost his direct credit card processor because they lacked fraud control. However, in an earlier email, Fred states he lost his credit card processor because of the his business model, and that it was 'just too new of a concept'.

Sorry, but ponzi is nothing new.

and again...

"[...] I can say that Fred has started quite a *RUMOR* and that is all it is.
PayPal is just dropping Fred, not the world.

This has been verified by several calls people have made.

It's too bad, that so many people trust Fred as they do. I have seen several sites already drop PayPal, *ONLY* because of what Fred has said.

In addition, MasterCard and Visa themselves have affiliate programs.

To conclude this long post:
I WON'T STOP TO USE PAYPAL AS PAYMENT METHOD ON MY SITES UNTILL I RECEIVE AN OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION FROM PAYPAL SAYING THAT THESE KIND OF PROGS ARE NOT ALLOWED and I hope all other PTR webmasters will do the same.

A big hug

Same here, like we said to all our members yesterday, until PayPal say we can't use them anymore why should we stop using them?
We've never had a problem with them at all.

We've always had other payment options available, eg, StormPay, NetPay, MoneyBookers & e-gold.

I also like MoneyBookers more than PayPal, but thats just my opinion. ac.gif
Thea
Yes,

I accept other method payments (e-gold, Credit cards and Stormpay, at present) and I pay my members via check too, but, as you know, unfortunately all others online currencies are not as much diffused as Paypal and the fees are very high ah.gif

Well, I hope Paypal will continue to do business with us even with all its defects ae.gif

Good to see that some of you webmasters have kept a level head & haven't been caught up in Fred Srock's web of deception.

Way to go! *thumbs up*

Received this from Paypal:

I am not aware at this time of PayPal posting anything about freezing
or canceling anyones accounts for these reasons. If you have received
any email regarding this you may forward us a copy so that we may look
at it and research its credibility. When PayPal makes policy changes
we will either email our account holders or post it to the PayPal
website.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us
again.

Sincerely,
Angie

In reply to THIS question:

It has been said on MANY online discussion forums and by many people that
Paypal will be freezing and/or cancelling accounts of anyone who has any
sort of transactions occuring with online based affiliate companies such as
paid-to-read email, paid-visit sites, paid-leads, bidded keyword search
engines, etc...

That is EXACTLY what I said in one of my replies in one thread...can't remember which one.

Paypal has ALWAYS posted important updates & changes to TOS on the site. Why would they stop now? *L*

I agree it's time to start *disbeliefing* what are just words from a source that may not be reliable after all ao.gif

There's no grey area on this one... This is an obvious hoax started by one guy.

People just like to believe stuff like this :-)

I promise, oh ye paranoid masses, PayPal has NO current plans to start dropping PTRs... Unless of course you happen to have a matrix involved, in which case you're free to worry ;-)
