I know, I tell everyone not to buy gold memberships but I bought one at SAC and lo, no update and no response to my emails...

ssiiiiiiiiggghhhh, someone want to give me my own advice back???
Flanneljava
I have tried to unsubscribe from SAC for months, with no sucess, so I just delete the emails when they come in.

Flanneljava, I couldn't successfully unsubscribe either, so I just deleted myself from receiving their e.mails...but that didn't take me off their master list. I can't seem to get out of their system.

LOL! I never got any of their emails! Why do you want to unsusbcribe? They don't pay?

Chane your email address to a bogus one since you can't unsubscribe. ab.gif

...or set a filter in your email program to send it to the junk folder.

There have been BAD programs that start sending it to BOTH addys when you change the addy am.gif

For four months I clicked every link in the email and on the site for extra earnings, all those points added up to about 63 cents, with a 5 dollar bonus and 100 payout level.

I am sorry you got took. But their are honest WM out their. Use this forum as a tool to find them. Some of them honor their gold members and they do very well.
Why not start a thread asking for gold memberships reports. Ignore the brown nose ones, concentrate on the real reports.

don't buy gold memberships! ad.gif

why would you want gold for sac anyway?
the program should still be in existence before buying gold right? ab.gif

besides, you own a ptr thats been there for a long while now & its doing pretty good, why do you need gold at all? ab.gif

Hi,

I know someone who has bought gold and was very happy he did, was paid more than once too ....

But don't buy gold at SAC unless you have loads of refs, then it's interesting.

Brenda, they have always been slow at answering mails but they always do in the end, if you pad them, be persistent :-)

I like that site because it's the only one who doesn't send me the same ads all the others send me, it's the only one where I even bookmark a site I have visited from a paid link once in a while. They send real ads.

I like it also becaus I joined since the beginning and they never changed TOS at expense of the members.

And every link is worth 1 cent or more.

The only problem is the high pay out but as long as they pay I don't care .... it's not like if they said I had to wait 300 $ or more to reach pay-out, I probably will reach pay out sooner with this one than with some 5$ minimum sites.

Good luck Brenda;-)

Yeah it is true that the mails they send are worth about 1 cent each but as they're slow in replying to mails, they're also really slow in converting your points into cash! ah.gif
I've been a member since early june and only june, july and august have been converted so far.

Still waiting for septembers 137p. octobers 493p. and novembers 626 p. to be moved into cash.....I guess that's one reason why I have only made 76 cents so far ak.gif

I wish they could move a lil bit faster! ac.gif

For one, some gold memberships are worth buying. For example, my gold members who joined in October have earned half their membership price back already, and thats not even counting their referrals.

I have also bought gold memberships at some sites that have really paid off. I agree with the one who made the post about starting a thread about which ones are good and which ones are not. Then people could see for themselves what others have to say.

As for owning a PTR, well its not as lucrative as everyone thinks. For one, dont forget the wonderful US IRS, taxes have to be paid just like any other business. There are state taxes as well , and local taxes here are even worse as you cant take any deductions, such as hosting and domain registration or upgrades. Most good webmasters too take a cut as we send out paid emails out of our own pockets when no money is coming in. So for those of us who are dedicated owners and dont run off to the Forest with everyones money, its not enough to make a living on... might buy the coffee every week though.

Flanneljava's 1st paragraph is correct!!!!

Some silver/gold/platinum/uranium memberships are worth their price, but you need to know what you are getting out of it (random referrals/reduced advertising rates/higher click value/lower cashout/etc.)- or just stay a free member.

For most, that distribute referral, they should be distributed at least one referral within a month. A referral does not garrantee referral commission, but the more referrals a webmaster gives to upgraded members, the more the members will support and promote the site.

Also, with upgraded membership you usually get discounted advertising rates. If you advertise enough, this will pay for itself! My opinion: don't upgrade if you don't feel you'll eventually become an advertiser yourself on the site.

I couldn't delete my account with them either so I just used my email and blocked sender so when they send me an email, it is returned to them, eventually they'll get the hint!! Try it, you won't get anymore emails from them anyway.
