I keep getting a completely white screen, the only thing on it is a line in the center:

Please press ENTER to continue.

There is nothing else - no list of open sites across the bottom, no X in the top right corner, nothing. It doesn't show up on my list of open stuff when I alt-control-delete. The only thing I can do is press enter, then it goes away.

I have run every scan on my computer, nothing finds it. I have started keeping a list of open programs when it popsup, but no results yet.

Trouble is, it's taking longer and longer to close each time.

Anyone else have this?

What you are seeing is the result of a banner on a site that you have visited. I know this because I had the banner up at one of my sites and a member brought it to my attention, so I took it down.

The banner would be just a line of text that says http://hotblox.com. Hotblox then resets your homepage of your browser to be their search engine.

I had hotblox through the affiliate clickxchange. I do not know if that is the only way a PO could get to that ad or if it is available via other affiliates too.

It is really harmless other than changing the home page of your browser. But I know how annoying that is and I don't like it, so I took it off of my site.

Hope this helps you. A good idea would be to contact the PO of the site where it is happening and let them know, more than likely, they are not aware it is happening.

Download CWShredder (just type it in in Google) or in one of your searches, ahah, than run it. You have to close all internet browsers. It'll take care of the problem of startpages that you don't want. Ater that go to extra - internet options in your internet browser (on the top) and fill in the startpage that you like ... I've gotten this silly thing, too...now I blocked something and it's impossible to change the homepage settings in IE...

Yeah, I got it last night for the first time

Man, it's annoying - but the good old: ctrl alt delete, works a charm for getting rid of it without too much disruption.
