Kanarek - it means "canary bird".

And cloaking the real link is not difficult, especially when you are sending an html email. All you have to do is add another link to a text marked as hyperlink.

Hiding a real address of a site and replacing it with another is also no big deal

It is a bit more difficult with plain text emails but also possible. Just do a searsch on mail cloaking, mail privacy, and e-mail masking
