I would pay off my debts first then the following would happen....
Set up trust funds for my parents, children and two sisters....
Buy everyone in my immediate family a new home and car. Would put my sisters homes in my name as the men they are with are not very stable, wouldn't want them to take it away from them one day...
Send a very large donation to St. Judes Childrens hospital and the Ronald McDonald house.
Build a NO KILL animal shelter!

haha Same here I could go to wal-mart daily for hours...I could find my way around there with my eyes closed haha my boyfriend finds it quite funny because everytime we go shopping there he asks where something is and I point him in the right direction...my family tells me I should work there, but if I did that I might not like it anymore lol plus a majority of my family "aunts'' work there as well as my boyfriends little brother haha

I'm there at least 3 times a week...sad thing, I can't get out of there without spending close to $100. I always find things I am sure I need, or something that someone else could use...never fails! Now, Michael, he can go in there for a head of lettuce and walk out with just that. Me, I go in for coffee, I come back out with a half dozen things...wanna start a support group?

Well let me see ...
I don't have any debts yet ... I'm too young

I'd buy myself a nice car and a nice house on some land. Get me some critters to go on that land ...

Then I'd set up a trust fund for my little brother, my sister, and my nephew, gathering interest, so they would NEVER have anything to worry about.
I'd pay off my mom's house as well as her other debts.
I'd put a good bit of it in the bank.
The rest I'd make donations to various charities and organizations.

I would first complain about the $300,000 in taxes.
Then I would work out a deal with a bank and get a good 3-5% on a 5 year CD with my $700,000.

Pack all our stuff that we wanna take with us and head straight to the airport and never move back to Finland again

(Rocky and Rambo would get their own seats at the airplane of course

)
And then we'd move either to Sherman Oaks or Santa Barbara and live happily ever after, wouldn't pay our debts here, why bother, we wouldn't be coming back anyways...muhahahaaa

Put back money for my daughter, buy us a brand new house (nothing to fancy),
buy a new car for me and a Mercedes Benz for my daughter (that is the kind of car she likes. She will be getting her license next year).
Oh.... pay off my bills !

Forgot one....

I'd want to buy a house, give some money to my family and friends, set up a fund for money for charity, I'd spend loads but do it gradually from the interest. A car would be cool - driving lessons might help or I could hire a chauffeur

I'd get an accountant to pay all my bills for me so that I would never have to hear another drop thru the letterbox again! I'd like to start a business to give people jobs. I'd like to build some nice houses for disadvantaged people to live in nice conditions instead of ugly housing, living like sardines with few facilities for leisure and kids. I'd like to do something to help homeless people too. OMG you said $1,000,000 shoot that
isn't enough, I was thinking of ?1,000,000!!

This would probably be my order

Pay off debt
Pay off my mother's debt
Go on holiday
Go shopping!!
Buy a new car
Move back to Finland and buy a bigger house

Then see what I'd have left

Quit my job would have been #1 but I have the best job in the world... taking care of my daughter

I voted for a new car, because that is what I wish most to have right now. I had to sell mine, because I couldn't afford to have it as a student.
But a bigger apartment and a "holidayhouse" for my family and parents would also be nice.

Theoretically? I'd pay off all my bills and bank the majority of it. Pay my parents back for everything and buy my mom a new car.
Realistically? Mega-shopping spree!!! Probably every day for a few months *sigh* I'm an addict.
Though I really do like the idea of a no-kill animal shelter...

I would definitely pay off my debts first. As much as an enjoyment it would be to have all that money, it would be also a great relief to not be in debt.
Then, I would put some of the money in the bank and then go shopping a little.
