Hi,

I just looked at my Tigerads account balance and I can redeem for advertsing.
For 10000 banner impressions to be exactly.

But what do they mean by banner impressions?

I know that I have to insert a banner and a link. And I know how to do that.

But the problem is, I don't know where they will be displayed?
Are they in the Paid Mails, on the frontpage of the website, in the Paid2Click
section or somewhere else?

And by 10000 impression, do they also mean "hits" or "clicks"?

Banner impressions are when your banner is shown....if it's clicked on, it is linked to ref ID for the person to be able to sign under you if they want. Take a look at the very top right hand corner of the forum....those various banners are banner impressions.

On the various ptr sites, they are at the top of the different pages of the site (ptc or earnings page for an example) and no, they aren't in the emails. The 10,000 impressions means it will be shown 10,000 times...but there are no guarantees of any clicks.

Welcome to the forum and feel free to PM me if you need any help. smile.gif

it is at the top of the website. any page of the site. It does not refer to hits or clicks. It will be displayed 10.000 times. May be you only get 50 clicks. main adventage is only interested people will click it and be ur referral if interested

I will tell you that banner impressons aren't really the best way to advertise, not many people click on them..

Hey thanx all very much for fast reply's!

So after all, what do you think, is this a good way to advertise or is it
better to send out some Paid Mail ads of 25 cents (at TigerAds this is the lowest).

What does normally get better results:

- Banner Impressions,
- Paid Mails
- Paid to Click
- Paid to Signup

And afterall, what is your overall opinion about TigerAds? Good, bad or ugly?
Dark Spirit
I have no experience from ADS only redemptions yet but in paid sites, Paid E-Mails get the best..

Paid to signup users, usually unforutnatly take the bonus and aren't active..

You can get good results with all allthough I wouldn't use paid to signups. Paid emails and Paid to clicks can be very effective especially if you promote an new site. You will get the attention of a lot of people in a short time. Banner impressions are more suitable for long term advertising.

I personally get my best ref results with paid emails....I have alot of gm ads to use every month...just a matter of deciding which sites to write ads for wink.gif laugh.gif

The biggest trick to writing ads (even for older sites) is to put some personality and thought into it....don't just copy and paste the info from the homepage of the site, they will see THAT when they get there. Been paid? Had a good support experience with the wm? Had ads go out fast? THAT is the sort of stuff I look for in an ad wink.gif If the person is too lazy (IMO) to take the time to write out an ad with a little flair to it, then mostly likely (again IMO) they would also build their downlines and click just enough to get the refs earnings. dry.gif Sorry...I don't want an upline like that myself.

Hope this helps? smile.gif Feel free to PM me if you want/need any help writing an ad wink.gif

I have to agree with themom...most of my luck has been from paid ads but you do need to be clever when writing them.

When I first started out I used the banner impressions tho, because they are usually more inexpensive than the ads. A lot of my sites I still do because I have a lot of points to redeem. I like Tiger Ads. Have used them quite a bit lately.

Also the sites do show stats as far as how many click your banners. Some I have a ton of clicks, even if people aren't being paid for them, other times it just shows and no clicks. Just depends.

Hope that helps some, PM anytime! I was a newbie not so long ago myself biggrin.gif
wow
Where can I the effect of banner impression? I mean the effect of my advertisement.

Click on the Ad Stats link in the programs in which you have ads running....it will bring up a page that will show you how they're doing.

I have won banner impressions as part of contest wins... never bought one... here is the question. Let's say mine is at the top of the PTC page.

Now, lets say 20 other people have banner impressions too. Will WM's usually rotate them out ( like you go in and click one)...then will it rotate to another one?

Really hard to explain...hope you got what I am asking.

The reason I am asking is that I have looked at my ad stats on the various sites that have put banner impressions on... got lots of clicks... sad thing...no results...I NEVER saw my banner on top of any page and I went through clicking all the pages to see if it was there. unsure.gif

When you get banner impressions, they usually aren't just for one specific page on the website. Most of the time they'll rotate on all the different pages of the site.

Every time someone calls up a page on a website one of the banners in rotation will show up, and (I'm pretty sure) the banner is chosen randomly. If there were 100 banners in rotation, your banner would have a 1 in 100 chance of being the banner that was shown when someone viewed a page.

You won't see your own banner very often unless the site doesn't have many banners in rotation. Most sites have lots, and I mean lots, of banners in rotation.

Now I'm a bit confused about this part:

Did you mean your banners have got lots of views? Most banner impressions won't get many clicks, but every time they're shown at the top of a page that will count as a view. Check your stats again. There should be two numbers - one for views and one for clicks. Which one are you getting lots of?

on one in particular...I remembered I had about 1000 actual clicks. I never even got any sign-ups out of it...of course, I have been told that this really isnt a good way to advertise. That is why I have only used it when I have won it. LOL But thank you for the info on how it works.
