Radio and news reports are that the American taken hostage in Saudi Arabia has been killed.

Arab TV Reports U.S. Hostage Beheaded

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) - American hostage Paul Johnson has been beheaded, the Arab satellite network Al-Arabiya reported Friday.

Johnson's captors had set Friday as a deadline for Saudi officials to release their al-Qaida captives. They had said they would kill him if their demand wasn't met.

The Saudis had rejected the demand.

Thousands of Saudi police continued searching for Johnson today.

Meanwhile, family members of the kidnapped American waited for word in New Jersey.

Someone will find some reason to blame the USA about this, too.

Oh my! This is so awful! I'm literally sick to my stomach right now.

The thing I don't understand is, the terrorists who kidnapped him supposedly wanted Saudi Arabia to release some of the Al Qaeda prisoners. So, why kidnap an American?

I truly hope, all those that do such horrible things are caught and brought to justice, so the reign of terror they wield will be brought to an end, and the middle East will be at peace.

they knew fully well none of the governments would comply with their demands and they decided to put the family and the poor guy thru the torture of knowing he was going to die

I just saw on FoxNews, Al Qaeda Leader Abdulaziz al-Moqrin was killed! He is one of them believed to be behind Johnson's kidnapping.

A little late for Mr. Johnson and his family. They were also saying he could have already been killed when we saw the first video where he's blindfolded. Islamic clerics are denouncing the act.

This is just so sad I get sad everytime I hear of someone dying over there, especially the innocent victims. This poor family. The probably heard the news on tv before the appropriate officials could tell them

Nostradamus said peace it shall be acheived prosecuted by death. I think they should ban the possession of all guns, explosives, machetes and give the death penalty for those found in possession of them. Only government security forces should have them.

Didn't know there was a video but the pictures are horrible.

I know I should see it but I really don't want to be haunted by the images.

I heard a split second of the Nick Berg beheading on the radio and I still can't get the screams out of my mind.

I'm to the point where there should be a huge fence surrounding the US. All people overseas have 90 days to come back or they're gone for good. Everyone who leaves must get a visa so they can come back.
