Save up ab.gif. Or if you haven't got that much money to spend on this kinda stuff, use free hosting and buy a domain name - they're quite cheap nowadays.

Are people using your site?

You can always tell by placing forums or a guestbook on your site. Or something that's interactive - that way you'll know. If the page is static, chances are you won't know if people are using it.
If its a PTR link page, you can sometimes tell if people sign up to programs.

Is it worth it?

Yes and no. If you get a good hosting package and a domain name - one that is easily recognisable and remembered, your site should do well. It needs constant updates to make people come back though. If your site's a big success, you can expect a lot of praise from readers (perhaps leave a feedback form or email address on the site?)

I agree with ya on that one, plus most free sights don't have as many options for members and admins and are crap in many ways, IE forum support. LOL ae.gif

As far as ppl using your sight~ depending on which type of sight you are interested in....such as forums....you should be able to go into you logbook in your admin panel and see how many ppl have logged on, whether they post or not. aa.gif

And is it worth it? Well, in my opinion that all depends on how passionate you are about what you are doing. I mean if you are running a websight just to make money, then the headaches begin. LOL If you are running a freebie page or message board just for fun, the rewards can be great. You would be surprised how many wonderful and interesting ppl all over the world you can meet. Hence, you are truly NEVER alone ae.gif
