This is so weird it started at tomb mailer - I couldn't log in, then paid mail daily, then cheechongclicks. Now these sites are all 502 errors - is this happening to anyone else? I thought it was my auto complete so I erased it but now I can't access any of these sites.

So its not just me then - the reason I even checked with you guys is because this happened to me once before so I emailed the webmasters and they thought I was crazy - they said nothing was wrong. It lasted 2 days then I could get on the sites again no prob.

no prob, I am starting to get a good idea where sites are hosted at now and since I use very diff random pw at each site I doubt someone could delete. Easiest way to check is to see if the main hoster's sites are down. Check myecom site, check a prog of cynthia like letterwealth (she hosts a few). I think jay might offer hosting. Things like this.

Wow I had no idea it was that bad !! Glad I don't belong to all those too I would have been really bored this week or gone insane. Whats with these servers - I don't know anything about that kind of stuff but why are they broken - what causes this interuption of service?
I know if I owned a PTRE or any business online and that happened I wouldn't be too happy

I haven't had any trouble with reading4cash today. Just checked it and had no problems. Great white I haven't been able to get to in almost 2 weeks. Don't know about the rest though.

It seems to me myecom goes down about once a week for a few hours. I think this is for maintenance. As for the others I have no idea.

It happens everytime John buys or builds new equipment and moves the site around. The data files are the last thing to get moved, so until the data catches up with the rest of the site there's no members in the data base, including the webmaster can't log in.
I'm sure this is not going to be a weekly occurance, but the more sites myecom hosts, the harder John works to keep them up and running, and if it takes moving them to faster servers, that can handle the load, it's worth the inconvenience.
Trouble is members panic, instead of waiting a few hours, they flood the webmasters mailbox with "I can't log in"

Is he working on so many sites at one time? Not logical, I am not complaining just thinking since I cannot login to any of the scripts (not yours either taxlady I think yours was done already right?) sounds unlogical that he is working on all of them at once, although for all I know about software (almost nothing) it could be. All I know is that right now those sites do not work. And am sure they will later on:)
Have a great day,

Actually very logical. John does not update the scripts one site at a time, he has a master so that any site hosted with him is updated. Unless there is a problem that only one site is having, it is ALL sites on the server. The CC scripts are on a different server than the databases, and those are on a different one than the mail servers, etc. And for some reason, traffic is VERY high on Sundays..

okay I understand why they are down now but why are they all still sending links to click on . If you have to sign in when you click you can't access it so of course the links aren't working.
I spent the day clicking on links that were all 502 errors time out or bad gateway something or other. So should I hold on to the emails or delete them??? Anyone know the answer to this.

Definitely hold onto the e-mails and try them again in a few hours. You should be able to get credit for the majority of them.

arrrrgggg! still down!
VERY annoying since i just purchased gold membership 1 minute before they went down on centsablemail and still can't check to see if i'm now a gold member!!
paid mail daily - supposed to be that time to request payout! wouldn't surprise me if people start screaming scam, lol. we all know it's not! i have two paid emails sitting here that i can't click! and that would take me to exactly $1.00 payout, lol.
do they get a rebate on hosting fees when it goes down so much? they pay for a service after all!!!

hehe, must've heard me coming coz now it's back up!
no, i'm not a gold member in centsable mail

Update from Myecom hosting (where half the ptr's are hosted at), just came a few minutes ago:

Well its been bumpy week. had trouble finding the problem as all the servers were technicaly running. but i figured it out. we are maxing out our switchs again so I added a few more net card and another switch and changed load aroung to by us some time untill my Lucent Cajun p550 46Gbit switch arives next week. Finaly found a good deal on one and hvae the cash to spend on it. currently with all 4 switchs i am running now we can only move about 800Mbit/sec worth of data between all the servers so upgrading to a 46 Gbit/sec switch sould be the last we need for quite some time
