Kwame 'Fired' From Miss Universe Pageant


Apprentice" loser Kwame Jackson (search) has been fired by Donald Trump - again.



The former Trump prot?g? was supposed to be a judge in tonight's Miss Universe pageant (search) in Ecuador, but got canned after he was caught in what pageant officials called an "inadvertent interaction" with a couple of contestants.

Jackson said he was hanging out at the JW Marriott Hotel in Quito waiting for some friends when he was approached by a couple of comely contestants, who recognized the 29-year-old Harvard alum from the hit Trump reality show.

The Miss Universe rulebook specifically bans judges from entering the hotel because all of the pageant hopefuls stay there - and forbids any "interaction" between judges and contestants.

"When I arrived [at] the Marriott, I honestly had no idea it was off limits to the judges, " Jackson said. "I was meeting up with some friends when I was recognized by some [contestants]. As a natural human response, I extended my hand to greet them."

A spokeswoman for NBC, which is airing the contest, agreed all he did was shake some hands.

"It was an innocent interaction but rather than risk the integrity of the contest, Kwame agreed to step down," she said.

She said no replacement had been named as of last night. But Paul Shugart, the president of Miss Universe organization - which is co-owned by The Donald and NBC - said he's welcome back next year.

"We love working with Kwame and have already extended an offer for him to be a judge in next year's pageant," she said.
