Ok I love my hubby dealry and usually he is a great guy...

but this morning he just irked my last nerve... guess it didnt help that my day started with my 8 mth old taking off his diaper in his crib that was full of number 2... so at 7:30 I was washing sheets and the baby... Then hubby calls to tell me ...

"honey, I got a great deal" That means that he is about to buy something motorized Jack is selling his 4 Wheeler... and I can get it for 300... can you go to the bank and withdraw it so that when he brings it by after work I can give him the cash...
I ask WHY do you want it... "for Nicholas".... Same child above that has fun taking off his diaper....

As it stands now our son is 8 mths old... and he has a TRUCK, a Car, A go-cart, and now he will have a 4 Wheeler....

Have I failed to mention that we OWN ... a truck, that has some big engine that we cant drive right now cause it gets like 10 miles to a gallon and gas is outragous...2 cars, we also have 2 other cars that we are making payments on A van and a racecar... with enough parts that if he has another chasis he could have 2 race cars... so that is 7 cars/tucks

So my vent and rant is why in the he** does he want another motorized anything...

I mean my yard looks like a dang used car lot...
we did manage to sell 2 other cars earlier this year...

I told him you want to buy something motorized buy another riding lawn mower...
( off all the motorized stuff we have... that is the only thing that was stolen) we have about 4-5 acres of land that hasnt been mowed in about month only place where the grass isnt to your knees in under all these cars...

ok I think I am done....

wow thought this would make me feel better... hmmm maybe after its posted...

LOL--It HAS to be a guy thing...lol

DH has been saying how he needs a 4 wheeler, a motorcycle(honey, just think how much money in gas I can save everyday). Everything out of his mouth has been I need!

We have a new car, an older truck(his work truck) and an S-10 that is tore apart that just needs put back together. Thankfully we have some place to hide all the stuff he tears apart because I'd REALLY hate to see what our yard would look like.

Lol, men! I think maybe you should tell him no more cars for nicholas until he has his license? laugh.gif

I think you have to let men have their hobbies but you should also talk with him to set some boundaries, such as no more than x number of rust buckets on the lawn at one time?

Get a horse to eat the grass. You have to put your foot down, tell him to sort out the ones he has first

I guess that I am speical...

I want a new car, but just because only because we need one and maybe I'm just an odd guy or something... but I have no great desire for a things with engines...

I have a computer that works just fine for me... (would like some more RAM but that's a joint want.) not that I get to use it much as someone lives on it lol.

I guess that you could always tell your hubby that if they really want to save on gas to gat a bike lol.

I dunno... I just felt like saying that. tongue.gif

Thanks for your posts... some made me laugh and the one about the 2 babies... Oh god no I can only imagine what he will want to buy for them..

I told him today that if he buys this 4 wheeler he CAN NOT get anything else that has an engine..... ASIDE from that riding lawnmower...

he agreed.... but i told him I have drawn up a contract and he WILL sign it before I give him the cash.....

he agreed and I put 3 of those vehicles in the shopper.....

and told him he has to split the proceeds with ME smile.gif

Horse is to big it would eat though 5 arces in no time get a (1) sheep they are easy keepers and in the fall you can have it butchered and fill your freezer or a goat but goat meat is a little different taste wise.

My husband collects things with eight legs and fangs. Motorized, computerized, almost-anything-else-ized sounds great from here! laugh.gif

Holy Moley are you women totally serious????

If your bills are paid and your fed and a roof is over your head and the man wants to indulge his child, in todays world you actually are going to stop him?? Let him do it.

Us men are simple, we indulge for our women and kids by spending. Women shop like crazy nowadays. Get on your knees and thank God you got a good man in your house I wish I even had a father when I was growing up. Jeez

.... and it's well-justified. In 12-15 years, those toys will be outdated, replaced by newer, fancier toys, some of which haven't been invented yet. Your children might not be into things motorized at all, you know.
Why don't you ask him about selling what he's bought that won't be used for some time and placing the money in a bank account for you child ? Then your child can pick out his own toy, with Dad's help, when they are old enough to help choose. Just an idea.

Cheri smile.gif

Oh, I was putting my own gripes in perscpective. They are minor. We only have a truck, two motorcycles, a van and a whole buncha power tools !

I cant say I have a hubby and cant really relate in that department but I surely wuoldnt want my yard cluttered with vehicles that are of no use to anyone at this point...doesnt make much sense blink.gif

I am a woman but just so ya know brownmind wink.gif I dont shop I live in shorts and t shirts. I drive a 1989 Bronco with 170K miles. I havent bought new shoes (since men tend to think women love to buy shoes) since I bought my last sneakers maybe 2 years ago..lol...no need I go barefoot as much as possible

If I have one thing I spend my $$ on its my animals. I hardly ever spend anything on myself. Its either for the house or the yard or for my animals. Matter of fact I spent $200 alone today at PetSmart..lol I couldnt honestly tell you the last time I spent $200 on just myself

So not all women like to shop and not all are materialistic and like to buy clothes and shoes wink.gif

Hey Elsie, I have been discussing just this with my neighbor (a newlywed) the last couple days. Her yard is almost packed and I am afraid the inspection department is going to nail them, and so is she.
Brownmind, our car and van are early 80's, and you betcha I am on my knees thanking God every day for my hubby of almost 20 years and my 9 healthy babies.
Elsie wanted to let something out, and Chit Chat she should be able to without any cuts. Right?
Big Love to you all,
Kim
Lollie
Here is a joke just for you Elsie!

Can't win for loseing smile.gif
A retired gentleman went to the social security office
to apply for social security.

After waiting in line a long time he got to the counter.
The woman behind the counter asked him for
his drivers' license to verify his age.

He looked in his pockets and realized he had left his wallet at home.
He told the woman that he was very sorry
but he seemed to have left his wallet at home.
"I will have to go home and comeback later ".

The woman thinks a second and says, " Unbutton your shirt."
So he opens his shirt revealing lots of curly silver hair. She says,
" That silver hair on your chest, is proof enough for me," and she
processed his social security application.

When he gets home, the man excitedly tells his wife about his experience
at the social security office. She said,
" You should have dropped your pants and applied for disability too."

It makes me chuckle! Hope it at least made ya smile! I guess I lucked out the old man likes what I like and visa versa! VENT anytime! biggrin.gif

LOL, I agree with you Elsie.

My husband is an engine freak. He started buying them when our son was a baby, was going to make that boy a custom car. How many engines does it take to do that? We have OVER 76 engines, the kid is going to be 15 and there is no car!

The other day hubby came home with yet another lawn mower. Said it was a good deal, LOL. We now have 37 lawn mowers but the thing is WE HAVE NO GRASS! LOL, 10 acres of pure woods! I guess they'll come in handy when we can get some grass to grow.

Let me take out teen to the store though to buy something and hubby is all bent out of shape. I just tell him unless he wants to see his toys go bye bye he better be quiet. laugh.gif

Love him dearly though.

edited to add another engine, LOL

My hubby also has a thing for car, trucks, etc. Right now there are 47 cars and trucks in my yard. As far as I know only 5 of them run. Only 11 of these actually belong to my hubby. Two are mine, both of which run. The others belong to his friends who live in town where there is a city ordinance against having cars that don't run sitting in your yard for an extended time. But he says they belong to so-and-so,who is a good guy and has done this and that for him,etc.,etc.

Then there's no telling how many pieces of vehicles. Truck cabs, cars with no front end,and numerous demo derby cars.My yard looks like a junkyard!I've learned to overlook it.I figure he could have worse habits. And most of this stuff doesn't cost him anything, because he likes to trade his junk for other junk.

My hubby too dry.gif and I dont really care what the reason is, I honestly dont need spare parts for all sorts of classics lying around! tongue.gif
Luckily, we cant afford the space for it at the moment (Luckily??? unsure.gif )
