lol I've this side very often set as my startpage.
Something changed the registry.
I always use the program Tuneup to change it back. It's the easiest way.

Actually, the easiest solution is to download the free Mozilla browser or one of the smaller cousins from mozilla.org - spyware and hijackware doesn't speak Mozilla.

Right, Mozilla is better than IE.
But I have a problem with it. Maybe someone can help me?
I use Outlook and I want to do my emails with Mozilla or Netscape.
But I don't want the sites open in a new window. I want them to open in a new tab .
I don't know how to do this. unsure.gif
Because of this I use Crazy Browser for my emails dry.gif

Try downloading Ad-aware6 from lavasoft.com - it?s free smile.gif
Then install it. You then have to click the "check for updates now" option and down load the latest reference file dated 30.05.2004

Running this will let you unlock the homepage option and you can delte
http://www.whatsfind.com/page.html
and reinsert your home page.

Good luck

talked to gateway about similar problem. They recommended everyone to have spysweeper (non free version because the free ones only touch the tip of the iceberg) plus a backup which I found got rid of the ones spyware wouldn't and I believe it was similiar to what you have. adaware worked. You can get free version from downloads.com then type in adaware to find it. However, the tech had me do a custom sweep then it bring up screen, make sure all red button are green before you sweep. It worked for me. Spysweeper has a home page stealer blocker. Go under options in spysweeper and click sheild and type in the home page you want.
Good luck

Run "msconfig" and in the section "autostart" check off programs which set your homepage. It's name is something like "whatsfind".

Hi smile.gif
Well just a few obvious questions -
1. you are clicking "apply" whne you change you homepage back and then clicking "accept" ?
2. you are scanning and changing when you are "off-line" ?

They may be silly questions but you be amazed how many people don?t do these things ohmy.gif

Also check you have the latest "reference library build" for Ad-Aware - 6/6/2004.
