I've read in different places that you can get paid to have various banners displayed on your site. Does this have to be your own dot.com or can it be a homepage (peopleweb, tripod, etc). What about the ezineblaze site? Also I read that you can get paid for having a search box on your site. The same questions as above. I read you get like 7 cent for searching or something like that.

I know if you want to have a business (GPTR) that you need your own dot.com otherwise people won't pay any attention to it but what about a homepage that lists the companies you're with, etc. Then getting extra pay from having the above?

Don't know about that, I've NEVER actually owned my own domain, I just use Free Web Space and the 30 Meg that my ISP give me.

I have generated over 100,000 visitors to that site in just over 2 years and made plenty of cash via Affiliate sites, etc, although I do admit, I've been knocked back on a few Affiliate advertisers due to not having my own domain, but its only a small amount!

Having your own dot.com name has many advantagese. Its hard to get high quality advertising on your site if you use tripod....geocities......
But you must also have good content on your website, thats even more important.

I think your own website cost a little money, and YOUR site will show only Your AD.

Depends on the company, but just get a domain it only costs 8 bucks now, no reason everyone should not have a domain, I have around 20 (half of them which are undeveloped) but still
