This in an email from ReadingMoney - this is a joke.

Having owned a paid email program for over a year I know how easy it is to rid the system of inactives and bounced emails. Just takes a bit of work.

If this person is so lazy then she should not have bothered in the first place.

Let's just hope that if she does this that no-one joins again.

Here's the email:

"""I may have to delete the entire membership unless you confirm a VALID email address that does not get full or block messages. This defeats the program and I am frankly getting way too many returned and undeliverable emails.I hate to punish everyone for the acts of a minority but I have received 190+ bad emails over the past few days and will not tolerate that.I trusted everyone at first and did check email addresses but it loks like I am going to have to wipe the slate clean and start fresh with a new membership.Needless to say all earnings will be lost as per rules .Also inacttive members are deleted after 30 days.If you do plan on remaining a member and have been getting and reading emails let me know by Sunday night.Otherwise I am cleani ng up the database. We are all here to make money and I will not waste my or your valuable time having inactive or cheating members!"""

Good Grief, she better change, "we all are here to make money" to "I am here, where is everyone else" Hard way to learn.
shaykedelik
this is just plain bs! can't she think of a better reason for deleting members and keeping the cash? if that is her motive... ar.gif

I am deleted. Am I crying? No, but I bet she will when she finds out she has and isn't getting any more members.

We will never forget a programowner who delets members to be able keep their money!!!!!!!

I think that's pretty bad too when I read it this morning.. I mean good grief... I mean she is giving us webmistress's a bad name.. I work hard to get members and she is throwing her's away ah.gif
Brianlfc
Does anyone know her name?

If so, why don't we start a folder of webmasters/mistresses whom are known scammers, when they open a new site and someone finds out its the same owner, they go to the folder and post the program so we can all steer clear.

Of course, the person reporting would have to be 100% its the same webby, as it may cause innocent webbies getting a bad name!
stanne312
great idea. We do need something to protect ourselves from scammers.

What bugs me the most is that I had a full downline and had clicked every f...ing link she sent. Grrrrrr. Ok, not crying, but boiling from anger!!!!

I haven't even received the mail above.

I have never been deleted by anyone before!!!!!

The sooner we start the bad webmistress/masters thread the better.
shannelle1
Funny, I have no downline and my account is still there. Just going to get rid of the ones who will make all the money I guess.

lol .... she ONLY had 190 bounced mails in a few days? What a great rate! Other webmasters would dream about that good quote ad.gif

By the way:
SHE (the owner, i forgot her name, but have saved some mails from her somewhere) also owns 3 other programs including moolahbymail.com and moolahformail.com

She earlier tried to sell this 2 programs at eBay, starting prize at $500 or so (while each program only had less than 1,500 members ... lol!)

She earlier was also not able to get her eMails as webmaster@... from her server, the contact-forms also were not readed from her ai.gif

And the responds i got from her after mailing her to her private eMail (fetched from whois) also didn't sound very professional (to say it in friendly words ab.gif )

I think, this following is valid for all webmasters, who just start their first gptre-program:

"It is not a shame, not to know everything about websites, html, massmailer and so on, when you start your first web-business, most ppl. here know, that it takes some time to learn all this things .....
but it IS a shame not to use the help, others offer you for FREE only to help YOU and instead continueing the same mistakes, others already told you about!"

I'm still a member of this 4 programs and hope, she will find her way or at least sell the programs to a better webmaster, we will see ....

Nice day for all, be.gif

I think her name is Carolyn Van Orden?

I canceled my account last night, because she is a (^$#@$%^! and will never pay her members.
TishaReina
I believe this is her way of getting out of debt for all of those high paying emails of 25 and 50 cents. Instead of going through everyone's accounts and correcting the totals, she is going to just wipe the database clear of everyone's info.

I too received that above mentioned email yesterday. I've been debating whether or not GPTBoycott site should get involved.

I was willing to hang in there while she made back her money. I've been in no hurry to redeem or invest in the site. I felt she'd just made mistakes as any newbie would. I was a bit surprised when she didn't just go in and correct the errors as other webmaster/mistresses do. I still felt if she'd go to other site owners and get advice she'd be back on track. That letter she sent out yesterday pretty much wiped out any sympathy or understanding I had for her lol

It's ticked me off pretty good! To think I hung in there.. argh.. I'm pretty sure I won't be so naive the next time a site owner comes up with a sob story of this nature.

btw MaxCash4U is shut down now.. I had the same loyalty there. I'm learning real fast here that trust in the paid email biz is earned.. not only by the members, but the owners. I'm narrowing my site memberships to focus on those that have proven they pay their members. Too many running off with the money.

I still have my measly account with Reading..but feel awful for those of you that were bumped out. I hate to close the account because then she will take my earnings because of the TOS agreement.

I would rather she steal it and then move from there.. make sense?
kiwinz
also she owns 2 traffic exchanges and a search engine and god knows what else since i was a member

I think it was Steffen or Stephen something or other lol (It could have been Lars for all I know after all this time lol but this above rings a bell as being his name.)

Ironsides444 used to send out the emails for him before the flooding and his leaving. I enjoyed the program! I'm soooo disappointed that he turned out to be like this, ugh.

I wish I could be of more help ah.gif

He refused to answer any of the questions in his forum folder here too. To be honest, I am very leery of joining internationally owned sites. I know that sounds bad..but I guess I am seeing where I should have stood my ground on that where this site is concerned.
BaroqueXena
Thanks for the info TishaReina, now you've mentioned the name it rings a bell with me too. i hope he doesn't own any more programs. am.gif
Pluto53
Yes, owner of MaxCash4U is Steffen,
he was not involved himself in the flooding here in germany but had friends or relatives in the flooded area as far i know (he himself is living not too far from that area)
I'm really sad to hear, that he shut down this nice program ah.gif *sniffle*

Good wishes to Steffen from me,

Now thats a interesting point. Lets says she sells it. Is the new webmaster legally bound to honor any money due? The referal system?
The only time in real world business they honor the old owners obligations is when the buyer agrees being nice or is forced to by either the selling contract or the union contract.
Anyone know of sites being sold? What happen did they honor the referals, cash owed?

No offense but when I saw 25 cent and 50 cents warning flags pop up. How could she payout that with todays competitve advertising rates on the web? I would of thought, scam; stay away.

Agreed. I don't know of any program that could possibly send links like that to everyone on a regular (or even semi-sporadic) basis, and not end up being a scam.
