i had this trojan a week or so and couldn't get rid of it. finally after an AVG updrade it got it.. all was clear until last night when pest star mails sent out the first 1/2 cent link i clicked on it and guess what trojan horse was back . I saw it come in i know it came from the link at pest star it locked up only the pest star page at that point but i couldn't close anything had to do a cold boot and run AVG to get rid of it before i could do antything. the trojan is Trojan Horse Starrtpage 4.AO
it's a fiestly little booger and hard to get rid of but AVG finally got it more than once so far.
I did email the PO of pest star and told them i was certain it came from there but guess what no response an i get it again tonight from them. i think it's not worth my $1.00 a month to remain at pest star if they do not check member emails and respond on something this serious

I had the same somewhere else with a lightblue 0.5 ptc of White Emails. It came with "download.trojan". Norton spotted it, but I had to do a scan afterwards to get rid of it. I mailed the webmistress this morning through the contact page, plus I send her an email 10 hours later, but it's still there...

is this the one that grays out your home page setting and hijacks the favorites? i have something that has done this. it also won't let the "tab" key work, and copy/paste comes up blank. i can manually put in sites, but if it's in my favorites it still won't load.
help me fix this thing, it's driving me crazy!

What browser are you all using? I'm a member of Pest Star & Gain Mail but didn't get either of the trojans. I stopped using IE and have been using Mozilla Firefox instead.
