At some point (when I was at about $50) Rebel upped the payout to $75. I had already hit the cashout button. The owner(s) have changed hands so many times that I haven't a clue who it is now, but I saw an ad for it that said $50 payout. So...do I wait on my original cashout? Or do I hit it again?
Confused, as usual....
Edited to add: Since I DON"T know who it is running the show, I'm afraid to email them and ask.
Also: I should have put this in Gen. Dis. Sorry.

Rebel-email.. uh is confusing..
Why don't you try to contact the "new operator" and ask her specifically when you might even expect payment.
Rebel-email, as far as I am aware. has made noises of starting up again .. but the noises are like a car engine backfiring. Major Tune Ups don't have seemed to help! Perhaps the engine is too far gone and even a major overhaul won't get the vehicle running again.
Is it time to trade in the lemon or have it finally towed away to the junk yard of PTR discards?
The answer from the WM (per admin e-mail) I think - was 75 then will drop down to 50.
Uh .. don't you read e-mails??????
Will you keep aclickin abased on that bait?
Your choice. Isn't it

As far as I can tell it never quit. I still get PTCs and emails occaisionally. But I have a very bad memory and a very limited Yahoo, so I can't save all the admin emails.
I like the car metaphor.

But I clearly saw an ad for Rebel today that said $50 payout.

Her most recent admin email (dated 5/11) also talks about where she is in the payout process and has info regarding specific dates that need to submit their request again because of info that she says had not been backed up by Doug and was lost when he turned the site over to her.
You really should read your mail -- your questions are answered there.
And btw...her name is Angie. Why on earth would you be afraid to email her? She seems to be the most sane owner Rebel has ever had and you can definitely understand her when she writes an email - something that is a welcome change!
I am getting really sick of those searches tho....just had 6 'old' ads (from earlier in the month) reappear in my site inbox this a.m. with more of those buggers! Yuk.

Ah HA, thank you. I just found it in my onsite inbox. Either I missed it or had 300 mails in my Yahoo and saw the words "6 searches" and killed it. Thank you. I will now do as she says. And I'm glad it's not who I thought it was.

Sounds like you need to add an additional email addy for your PTRs...Yahoo is way too tiny and limited in what they let thru for PTRs unless you're only in a couple or have paid for extra space.
I opened a special email account thru www.fastmail.fm just for my PTRs and it's worked beautifully thus far - lots of space so I can file away important admin mails, a wide range of choices for domain names, and best of all, it's free! I'm sure there are other providers out there that work equally well. (Avoid mail.com though - the service itself is fine, but many PTR emails never get thru and some sites won't allow addies that are in the mail.com family.)
Yahoo mail is fine for other things, but it most definitely stinks when it comes to using it for PTRs.
Also -- Don't forget that Rebel has its own forum where you can post questions/concerns too. I posted something this past weekend about all of the teddy bear graphics that were making it hard to read some of the pages and the WM paid attention and removed them.

Wow, thanks, lil crusader, for helping getting rid of the teddy-feet. And I noticed on my onsite box that I missed a 25c email, so I must have been missing some mails for some reason. I have both email and onsite ticked, but some were not done. Don't know what's up with that, but I've now done another redemption. Thanks for your help.

Would you sign up again if you knew what you know now?
I too am just waiting to see what the next episode is.
Yeah.. the new WM spells better and seems to have a more level headed approach than any of the previous ones. But just what is going to save Rebel? It lost it's credibility.. What more is there to add? Perhaps the word SAD! Sad for the clickers who have wasted their time. Rocky and crew should have chased down Denise. Wannaberich pales in comparison. But that is my humble opinion.
Storage space and emails.. Try opening up multiple email accounts.
Another suggestion:I belong to yahoo Canada which offers 6MB of storage space. I am assuming that your yahoo only offers 4MB..

advice to kyo and bruja -- you both need to read the forum rule regarding size and # of graphics permitted in signatures before one of the mods sees that you're both breaking the rule to pieces:
| QUOTE |
5. You can put a plain text or graphic link not bigger than 468x60, including promotion or referral links, in your signature. The limit for a signature is 5.1. 5 lines on a 1024 wide screen OR 5.2. A graphic of 468 pixels x 60 pixels in size plus one line. 5.3. Only less than 25 characters are allowed to have size 7, all the other characters need to be of regular small fonts. Any fonts larger than size 7 will result in removal of the whole signature. 5.4. A small emoticon like will only be count as word and not as a graphic. 5.5. The total length of your signature including URL and IMG tag should be less than 500 characters. 5.6. Any graphics must not be larger than 30k. Any signature that does not conform to the rules will be removed without warning. |

No, if all that mess had happened and I hadn't signed yet, I never would have.
I do have a lycos mail acct, but lately I've changed from it because of constant popups that my PK won't always kill.

Good one--and it's about as often as my stomach turns and at about the same times. Maybe she will get it back in order and we will get paid.....

I was just looking at Rebel again and realized that the home page says payout is $50, but the FAQ page and TOS say it's $75 w/$15 in personal earnings.
Also, the home page says payout is available via Paypal, Stormpay, egold, or check. The FAQ and TOS say payout options are Paypal, Stormpay or check (no egold). The user account info page, though, only gives Paypal and Stormpay as options -- no check or egold.

This is also in the TOS re: when to request payout.

Speaking of the TOS -- I don't think this has always been there (someone please correct me if I'm mistaken about this):
| QUOTE |
COMPLAINTS / CONCERNS
Any complaint or concern should be addressed to the administration staff of this website. These communications should be stated in a professional manner lacking any belligerent attacks. Failure to communicate in a professional manner will result in the IMMEDIATE cancellation of your account.
Use of public forums for problem resolution is not encouraged or tolerated by this website. Any member taking an issue to a public forum PRIOR to response from the administration staff will be immediately terminated forfeiting all earnings and referrals.
THIS IS NON NEGOTIABLE!!!! |
Finally - I found that a couple of things had been changed somehow on my acct info page (where to receive mail and method of payment option) so all members might want to check it to be sure nothing has changed on your page.

What? Arrrrkk. If I just threw away fifteen bucks I'm outta there. I hope the new WM just hasn't changed the FAQ page--it seems like the home page would be a more likely place to start with new material. I hope.
