Due to a major family illness, I knew I had to leave town for about 5 weeks. Therefore, I put myself on vacation mode in many of the email programs I am in and wrote letters to Program Owners of those programs that don't have a vacation mode button. However, I am still getting email from many programs. (I was lucky my younger brother has a laptop for me to borrow tonight which is how I found out).
Has anyone else had this problem? Will I get deleted for being "inactive" even though I have put myself on vacation mode?
I sure will be upset if I get home and find myself deleted!!!

Check the terms of a program. There are a few out there that don't even allow long vacations unless you contact the WM, if even that.
However, many times just a short e-mail to the WM letting them know what is going on will ensure that you won't be deleted. If the WM won't understand even after you contact them, likely that is a program that should be dropped anyway.

When I was on a holiday at sites I would get several mails from them. Seems to be normal lollllll so I have heard.
Have a good day,

Yes, that happens to me all the time.
Whenever I go to a short holiday, I put some of my accounts on vacation -so I do not have lots of mails in my inbox when I am back- but still I receive mails from those that I should not v_v
I don't know the reason, maybe just a bug in old scripts.

I would set it inbox only on the newer cashcrusader scripts. Normally, I don't bother except for sites that send loads of email a day.
As a precaution, I also forward some of it to other emails mailboxes.

I put myself on vacation before and didn't have any problems. Maybe its just certain sites.

I've put myself on vacation mode in early May, and i was still getting tons of emails while i was away. i was pretty mad because i made sure a day before to put every program on vacation mode so that i won't be deleted for inactivity. luckily, i did not get deleted from any of my programs but the wm's need to make sure their vacation mode is working properly.
