I had to post this here where PTR owners will read and respond to it if they can think up a believeable answer:

When I first started doing PTR programs late last year I kept wondering why these programs had such ridiculously high payouts like $75.00 or $100.00 or more)

One day it finally occurred to me. These PTR owners that establish high payouts do so because they know that a lot of people will soon get tired of all that clicking and reading and give up and cancel their account. Once that happens, the PTR owner keeps the money. Great scam! Make the payout high so people get bored and then take the money they earned after they cancel their account. Hmmm.....

Did you ever see any PTR program that will give you the money that you already "earned" if you close your account? I haven't seen any and that tells me a lot.

You could just join the programs with the realistic payout minimums instead.. rolleyes.gif

I believe there are several programs that will pay the balance of your account when you leave - if it is because of a change in terms or similar. Other than that, you are effectively suggesting programs should pay with no minimum. Sorry, that's just not realistic, given the amount of cheating that goes on - chasing cheaters would become a full-time job. People would sign up and then leave with 5 cents in their account, then sign up again, etc

Minimum payouts are there for an honest reason. But I think you are blaming them (the minimum payout system) for dishonest owners. That's not realistic. I suggest instead you join some realistic programs that are sustainable. MOST of the so-called high-payout sites are NOT sustainable, and do NOT pay, unless you are one of the first to join and manage to fluke a huge downline, so you reach payout long before most people do.

I think myself and a few other programs I know of with higher minimums that are NOT scams should be rather insulted by this!

I personally own a program that has a $100 minimum, and I lowered it from my original, it was originally $150!

Yes, a higher payout program does take a lot longer to earn the minimum payout in. And in many cases a member will indeed get disgruntled and leave which does indeed help site debt, but that isn't what some POs were thinking when they set a high payout.

Some might have been thinking, hey, if I have a higher payout, I won't get flooded with requests all the time and can pay my members within days of request, instead of making them wait forever.

Or they could have been thinking that by doing that, they could encourage more members to invest in upgrades that include lower payouts and advertising, which helps keep ads flowing smile.gif (and also gets the member free referrals and gets them to payout that much quicker!)

Or who knows what else in the case of those that are not scams. But I can say, there are some great programs out there with $100+ minimum payouts. To name a few: MikesPaid4Email, ProPaidEmail, TheCashDoctor, NoFlashJustCash.

And I also know when I get payout in those programs I am still a member of, I will be very happy to see my $100+ in my paypal for my work. In the long run, I am going to earn more with some of these programs than I would with some of the programs with smaller payouts smile.gif (and of course, there are some exceptions). And this is even with my wee little downlines of 5-20 people smile.gif

All I know is that I am getting sick and tired of having to defend myself because people assume that high payout minimum=scam

Yep..................mine.

There are several PTR owners who are nice, honest and will bend over backwards for members.

And some of them have a high payout minimum.

i don't like high payout programs. i quit all programs with payout higher than $10

however, i don't think all pos of high payout programs are scammers. there are a few honest pos, but the problem is, too few, and less and less....

most of these pos NEVER have intention to pay most of their members. when you join, you should know the risk.

What program do you own? I don't mind high payout programs myself and I would be happy to join another one with a good PO.

And personally, I like a nice mix. A few low payout ones that I will get paid in every month or so, and some higher ones I will get a lot from in time.

And I am glad to see I am not the only one insulted by the assumptions some make that high minimum=scam

And I will also add, if asked, I will give what a member actually did indeed earn if they decide my program is not for them. Only personal earnings though, not signup bonus.

And yes, it is indeed a risk to join any program now. Even a low payout program can easily be a scam. It is just that the majority of scam sites tend to be high payout sites.

Maybe I will, I will go check the downline builder and see if anything is there, might as well benefit a fellow GPF person while joining a good program smile.gif

I joined propaid a few months ago, but I quit it it fast.
Did you calculate how many years it will take you to reach
payout? I did, and I can tell you, that was many years, so
unless they have started sending many ads now, it is a
complete waste of time.
