I pay for an ad in a program

the PO of the program I advertised IN starts advertising his own link for the program I am trying to advertise

PO ad went out yesterday, mine hasn't gone out yet mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

And I know PO got my ad because PO signed up under me in the program I am trying to advertise

mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

Yuck... Not cool. sad.gif

What's the program in question here? I wouldn't want to accidentally advertise there.
4CuteCats
ohmy.gif That's totally unfair
I feel sorry for you sad.gif
What program?
Tigress8u
I don't want to say the program, its actually I program I like a lot

But what PO did is underhand
And he knows what he did was wrong

I think hes letting his ad run its course first before he puts mine out
kglaser
That's totally inexcusable.
I can understand that you don't want to name the program, but I wish you'd reconsider--disgusting practices such as this need to be exposed.
Tigress8u
the owner of program is an active member here
maybe he will see this thread and realise I am onto him LOL

qcp
I've had similar things happen. But if you don't say what program it is,what is the point of this thread?

Q
nafan
well if he signed up under you does it really matter, you will get all those referrals anyway.

True...but on a lot of programs 2nd level referrals earn you less than 1st level.

Q
ruhappytoseeme
Not a good way to do buiseness. Only good thing about this is, every member in his downline WILL be in yours, so you will end up with a huge downline cause w/m`s get a lot of referals. But they wont be in your 1st level, they will be in your 2nd level wich is usually a smaller %.

because the members of his site I wanted to sign up under me, if they are interested would have signed up under him

and 1st level referral is higher % than 2nd level

there is no rule that says people have to name a program to voice a complaint smile.gif
nafan
well if i got a PO in my downline iw ould be happy, not mad

It could be that your redemption/purchase just hasn't been processed yet. Those things do take time.

po's in your downline are always good...good way to collect a huge downline...but what dis po did was wrong...not good at all

Tigress, so you are saying the only reason for your post isn't to warn the rest of us about the unethical practices of a PO who happens to hang out here a lot but rather to hope that he sees this thread so this thread will only benefit you?

No not at all

How would him seeing this thread benefit me?

I am hoping he will see this thread and not do it again to any other member
Just in case he thought what he did was okay, and its not

Tigress, was it a new program alert you sent out, or just a regular ad?
If the latter, then Q may have a point.

A very NPA

Caribean Cash, I sent ad within 5 minutes of it opening, and ad is still not run

Q

I have run a site for a while, and know that ads only take as long as it takes for owner to put them out.

He signed up under me, so saw my ad. Yet he had the time to put his own email ad out first, ignoring my one, and no doubt others trying to advertise this site
brownmind
He needs to refund you your money so you can run it on another site. Simple and plain.

I agree, a refund is in order. I would be so potty I guess I would quit but then he would move up a whole level himself. What a sleeze. mad.gif

BTW potty was not *my* word wink.gif

from site:

"Once your payment has been confirmed, we will process your order immediately."

17 hours later it is still not out. And yes I KNOW ads can take longer, but it does say IMMEDIATELY onsite

Not, IMMEDIATELY after PO's ad has finished running tongue.gif

But if I don't get my ad put out real soon, I will name the program in here, plus the GPF name of owner

Another solution is for him to quit that program for the bad judgement and to run your ad at the same time thus giving you his referrals which should have been his. Just remember don't get the PO of that other program involved as you see by the other post LOL

There are a select group of POs that do this on a regular basis.
Then again, most of them don't sign up under you...
One point for him, but it's still *completely* out of line.

And even better? (or worse?)... they usually stick on a manual
"Sign up under me and you get xxx cents in your account!"

Now *that* is SOOOOO shady...

There's a reason I'm in the process of clicking for payout, redeeming, and quitting some programs. Too bad, 'cuz some of them I really respected before. It just seems that the more you know about some folks, the less you like them... or respect them.

I personally prefer people that are honest AND have some sort of moral base that makes sense to me.

Just saw an ad for Caribbean Cash, and at the end it said:

"You gonna feel sorry forever if you don't SIGN NOW !"

I just thought it was funny; forever is a long time!

One might think that you would be joining Programs now that Detroit has been defeated once again by the Underdog. Don't you have more time?? I hear that Detroit will be doing a Major Overhaul. I wonder what Toronto or New Jersey would be like with a "Stevie Yzerman"

Oh well, the dream must end sometime wink.gif

{sorry... off topic, but I have to reply}

Hmmm... Stevie Y in Toronto or New Jersey?
I guess you're the one that's dreaming now. LMAO
S'pose you're not up with lifetime contracts and commitments, eh? They *do* exist. smile.gif

Where they need to start with the revamp is Lewis and Holland, anyhoo...
I've been saying it for a long time.

Are you talking about LightStarMails? If you said that PO signed up under you then its good. You will be getting all his referrals in your downline.
Tigress8u
2 days later still no ad, and no response from WM

Programs this PO runs are PaidPromotions and MiracleMoneyMaker
I have just put a claim into Paypal hoping to get the few $$$ I spent on ad back

This is how it went:

I paid for an email ad in PaidPromotions for Caribbean-Cash
Within 30 minutes of me sending ad to Dave I noticed he had signed up under me. I was, and am still, happy with that.
Within 30 minutes of him signing up under me he ran his own ad for Caribbean-Cash on Miracle Money Maker.
Other email ads were sent to members of MMM and PaidPromotions that day, but not my ad
No other email ad has come from MMM or PaidPromtions for 2 days now.
The sites have died.
I have tried emailing him asking whats up, with no response.

I currently have 1 email ad at MMM, 2 email ads at PaidPromotions and surfbar at both sites for Caribbean-Cash waiting to be approved and to go out.

I can understand he is busy, but not too busy to promote his own referral link for the site.

nope paypal smile.gif

Thank you !! Wanted to make sure of all the facts before posting my thoughts.

I have been watching this thread for days now and waiting to post until i had all the facts and i have to say this is totally unexceptable..

If u paid with paypal than payment has already been processed ( Unless its an echeck through paypal )

Your paid ad should have been sent out way before his.. I consider this cheating by the po in ?

I would like to thank you for posting the name of his site so i never become a member or an advertiser because i dont want to sponsor a site that cheats his members or advertisers in this way..

Thats my opinion but i could be wrong

P.S. And yes i have signed up to some of my advertisers ads but i always made sure their ads were sent out and i either advertised on a site that wasnt mine or advertised the same site a couple days later, so they wouldnt get robbed of any of tpotential referrals..
Tigress8u
don't get me wrong

I like both sites, always have, but I have had no response from WM
no ad put out, nothing
so really had no choice but to name the sites sad.gif
dizzygal69
This behavior by a program owner is disgusting. You are owed a full refund and an apology from this person, imho, Tigress8u.

Thank you for naming the sites so that I don't ever accidentally join them or advertise at them. I don't support people without any morals or ethics, who believe that the almighty dollar is more important than fair play.

Do webmasters ever 'think' about these types of actions BEFORE they do them?

I would like to say I have pretty high morals when it comes to things like this and want to think of my members first.

However, even if I didn't and thought of myself first, I would ask myself if this imposes some kind of negative backlash on my part.

What I mean is, for the few referrals he got (even if it was 100) was it REALLY worth it to step over Tigresses' ad?

He most likely lost Tigress as a paying advertiser, f o r e v e r ...

Whats more, look at this thread. He has caused his reputation more damage than those 100+ referrals could EVER compensate him.

In this industry and on the internet where everyone is anonymous, your reputation and your word is "priceless"...There is no comparison (unless someone offered me a million bucks....hint,hint wink.gif )

What do you think?

Rod
Tigress8u
well I am sorry it had to come to this, but what is a gal to do wink.gif

just hope I don't get 'accidentally' deleted for this, I am an upgraded member in both of his sites
Tigress8u
I would just like to say a big KUDOS to the webmaster of sugarcents.com, a site I am NOT a member of, for offering to run the ad for me

Thank you, thank you sugar biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

This happned to a member at DTM (that was advertising DTM NOT BUYING) as well, Not the same PO but same situation.... in that instance the money was refunded and apologies were said.

I buy and send out my own ads on the site to make sure ads are going out. I have never once advertised that they will get any amount of reward for joining under me.. that seems the same as the PTS which doesnt generate an active referral.... But I have credited their accounts after the fact for signing under me. And that was just a bonus... since their interest was genuine for the site...

I have twice not sent out my own ad for a NPA because I got 2 paid ads for the same site... I sent my members ads and then a week later I sent my own since my ads are good for a week.

Elsie

Edited casue as I re-read what I wrote it could have been misleading

That's probably what should have happened in this case. Unfortunately it didn't. I don't blame Tigress for being upset at all. I'd be upset too. And I'd probably never advertise with that site again. Especially if I was a big advertiser.

Tigress8u
Paypal just informed me I got refund from seller. smile.gif
Tigress8u
And this sent to me just now from WM

"I don't appreciate your acusations to paypal. You have been
refunded. I reserve the right to place my ads as I please. I do not
go around sending out ads ahead of members to tick them off. NOWHERE
on my site do I say immediate placement of ads. I work 60 hours per
week and my life does not revolve around a site that I spend hours on
with NO PROFIT. I do this for fun. At least it used to be fun."

Wait till he sees this thread LOL
