hi,

In many sites (like e-gold, gold salary...), they say that the IP used when you were joining the site, was logged, and another account cannot be created using this IP... but can somebody else use my computer to access their account?? (that was created with another IP, in another computer)
Or this will be a reason to them to cancel my account?

I'm asking this cause this weekend I'll be away from my computer, and the only way I can access my GPTR programs will be using my sister's computer... and she was the one who referred me to those progs..

pls help!!! ad.gif ad.gif

For GoldSalary:
"You do not need a separate account from home, work, and school." (it is from their policy)

And, BTW they will not work from Saturday because they change to more powerfull server. They will start work as soon as possible.

Ip logging should be banned as hundreds use the same ip, and relaying on it is like getting win98 to work with no errors...

i recommened you use a proxy server while you use your sisters computer. .

just search for "anonymous proxy list" at yahoo, and then simply go to one of the pages... find a proxy with high anonymity or just anonymous ..

then go to explorer -> tools -> internet options -> connections -> settings

check the box that says "use proxy .." and enter the proxy address..

hope this helps

isnt that considered cheating.....
xscully
but using the same ip for access differents account is considered cheating too?!?

What about the condition where same proxy server is used by many people to access the same site .....LOL

I have a question similar to this...

my father, daughter and I live in 3 house sorta in a U shape (2 back to back and one facing the sides of each).

When we built our house we had the entire house wire for networking. Later we ran the network cable to both the other houses. Each of us hates the other's computer and are more often than not at our own house, lol.

So we have 3 addresses (in 3 towns, incredibly), 3 computers, 3 people and 1 dsl account.

Since we at do the GPTR thing, we set the rule that after you've done your clicking you HAVE to log off your GPTR accounts and the internet.

However, I have often gone to click and found my father or daughter has forgotten to log off. (Of course, *I* have NEVER made that mistake aj.gif )

Will this get me banned for cheating?

cookies are stored on the local machine and server side ( not by ip )

So none of you should have 2 log off if using seperate pc's

which is usually the issue

I think it's always best to write the webmaster and hopefully they respond
and SAVE a copy of the email where they said okay or not and then decide how you'd like to proceed should they say NO

Hmmmmmmm right....i didn't think of that...

means that little brat HAS been using my computer.

AFK to commit infantcide...or teencide, technically!

thanks Jay

personally I don't think IP's mean diddlysquat because every time I log on--I have dial-up--my IP is different--even the first numbers. If that were the case everybody with dynamic IP's would be cheating.

BTW--just what is a proxy server??
pittr
Yup!

I wasn't worried about having different IP addies, just about having the same one.

We've never monitored who uses what computer for what purpose before.

Though we prefer our own computer, we often check mail and stuff when at each others house.
ROFL, we have MSNed each other and nobody was in the right house at the time.

Gonna have to break some bad habits...
