yes its a bit of a pain we dont get the $20 paid out but it is free advertising and the payout has been lowered from $30 to $10 so to that i say yippee

this is 1 program i might get paid out with no referals as i already have over $7.50

Reckon MEC should get rid of their TOS altogether.

Not worth the paper they're written on, I've lost count as to how many times they have changed!!

I must admit I wasn't happy receiving this e-mail either since I am one of the ones who was more than willing to wait until I reached the $50 payout and at this time really don't have anything worth advertising. That being said I can understand Carol's position. I am sure since the possibility of a $10 payout has been raised all those who have already managed to cashout or used their bonus' for ads have been very vocal about wanting the payout lowered. It would not make much sense, and might not even be possible or accurate, trying to keep two lists of members, one with $10 payout - one with $50 payout. I also remind myself (not that it usually makes me feel better) when stuff like this happens that it was in fact a free gift, didn't cost me anything, and in this case a free ad, although not as good for me as money, is still a free bonus. Now I just have to come up with something to advertise.

As far as TOS changes go, there are quite a few sites here that do it over and over. at least mec doesn't threaten to charge you $5 every time you gripe about them, or delete your account, as many of the webmasters here do.
