I've been reading around but haven't found out what I want to really know.
First off, do you have to put money into your searching account so that you can bid on keywords?
B/c I really don't want to use any out of pocket money only money I earn from PTR's.
Second, does more members mean the program might be better since more people will be hitting the sites to search for things.
Well this seems to me to work both ways that if there are less members you can get a better bid right?
One more thing, doesn't it take a long time to bid for many keywords b/c you can have thousands of them?
Or is it limited to only a few keywords you can have?
Thanks for some input.

If you own a website you can become an affiliate and direct traffic to a search. Search portal pays you for each bidded keyword. But this must be an incentive search. And you cannot bid words by yourself thousands times because you'll be deleted...

Btw you don't have to invest your pocket money to become an affiliate...

If you're advertising at an engine that uses SmartSearch scripts and you wish to bid on lots of keywords, you can upload your listings via an Excel spreadsheet to save time. Just make sure your keywords are all relevant to your sites or else your listings won't be approved.

Thanks for the input, but I'm still kind of lost when it comes to searches.
I just signed up for one to try it out, berry-search, but I have no idea what I'm doing on it.
There seems to be a place to bid on keywords but I don't have any money in my account.
So any breakdown on search engines will be nice for I'm just lost blink.gif

Advertisers pay to list their website(s) in the pay-per-click search engines in order to receive more traffic and generate more sales. Rather than paying a flat fee, they bid on particular keywords, and every time a surfer clicks on a link to their site after searching with a keyword they made a bid on, the bid amount is automatically deducted from their account. Ranking is based on the amount you choose to bid. For example, let's say I place a bid on the keywords "search engine" for 1?. If there are no other bids on that keyword, I would automatically have the #1 ranking for that keyword. If you come into the picture, and place a bid on the keyword "search engine" for 2?, you would then become the #1 ranking site for that keyword, and my listing would be moved down to the #2 position. The highest bidder for a specific keyword will receive the highest ranking for that specific keyword, and lower bidders' listings will appear under the highest bidder in descending order of their bid amount. In order to receive traffic after bidding on keywords, you typically need to fund your account using a credit card or an online payment processor such as PayPal. Many engines require a minimum deposit.

Some pay-per-click search engines also have affiliate programs. As a pay-per-click search engine affiliate, you earn money by referring search clicks (i.e. integrating the search engine into your website?such as by adding a search box or making a portal page?and then waiting for you website visitors to make searches). For each valid click you refer, your account will be credited a percentage of the advertiser's bid amount. The search engine will then pay you your account balance at a later date (many search engines pay on a net-30 or net-45 basis, some faster). With some search engines, you are also allowed to use your affiliate earnings to fund your pay-per-click advertising account and make your own bids on keywords.

Hope this helps give you an overview.
