Key Points:
1) Those redemned for $1 cashout by PayPal have to wait to be paid as 1000levels is sorting a problem with PayPal right now.

2) Those who have 500+ points will be given a gold membership bonus FREE of charge by just emailing the webmaster your username. You are not redeming it for gold membership, it is an extra bonus given on top of being converted to cash.

We have a list of $1 redemptions that will be processed once we have faxed in the required documentation for Pay Pal to unrestrict the account. Until then, anyone who wishes to redeem for $1 should press the $1 redemption button once. Please do not keep clicking on the redemption buttons or the payment will not be requested.

These payments are delayed because Pay Pal have requested that we send in some documents to verify who we are. Once this is done, we will then start issuing payments again. This problem does not mean you won't be paid, this just means that there will be a delay in payment.

Also most people have been concerned about the points value before. We liked the old system better because points were redeemable for advertising. Since members did not like this, we decided to convert all of the points This will be done at least weekly. We do realize that some of you had worked very hard for those points and have decided a bonus for those who had 500 points or more. We are giving you a gold bonus FREE of charge.

All you have to do is send us your ID, and if your conversion shows that you had at least 500 points, we will give you a free 1 year gold membership. If you redeem points for advertising instead, you do not qualify for the bonus.

The major points value now is getting much higher. We hope those that participated before will continue to do so. As well as rewarding cash, we will also be awarding advertising prizes.

All we need is a higher participation value. If you participate and the points value remains low, we will throw in some extras.

We hope that this news brings joy to those who have worked very hard for their points.

I just wanted to make a brief explanation of why this was done. Myecom came up with a points to cash conversion script, where you were to enter the total amount of profit that the company had generated. After entering the amount, the points were converted to the value that had been entered.

The result was that many people had very low point values. This was down to lack of participation, and those who did participate were not given a fair deal. Both Dollars By E-Mail and 1000 Levels are not small programs. Their memberbases exceed 27,000 in total. If only few really do the searches, and the rest just click without searching, this brings down the value of the points overall.

1 guy even wrote to say that he was saving up points for a gold membership but found his points already converted the next morning. He was very disappointed.

So to help make things better, I felt it better to give those who had earned those points, a free gold membership. (FOR THOSE WHO HAVE THE POINTS ALREADY CONVERTED TO CASH, EXCLUDING THE 5C AND 10C TOP-UPS) Steps have been taken to ensure that the point value becomes higher. Whether or not this works, I have yet to see, but hope that this helps those who were disappointed by the previous conversion.
