I'm downloading this now, hope it works.
If so, I won't have to run adaware etc so often. Works like a anti-virus except it prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.

Okay I just download it, and I checked 'prevent spyware/tracking cookies' do some GPTR's use tracking cookies?

It won't stop those kind of cookies. It only stops cookies from malicious sites.
Well, ok, some ptr's are malicious but those don't count.

I believe this is the same program that is linked in spybot to download.

I've been running it on my computer for months and I hardly ever get anything bad anymore.

I went a little heavy on the security settings.
Now every time I want to login to one of my search engine accounts I have to put it on the trusted zone.
