I almost lost my life today.........I was driving down the highway not far from home one I travel daily.....I was looking forwerd all seemed fine there were two vehicles comming towards me. A white truck in front and a white car in back of the truck.........all was fine .......I looked down at my dash to check my speed.....spring time is bad for RCMP(cops) so I was watching my speed........100 legal limit.....I looked up and to find a white car in my lane comming straight at me............I just had time to swerve out of the way onto the shoulder half in the ditch...........If the truck hadn't moved over as well I would have been dead I was at 100 clicks and the car was at least doing 110 or higher.............I don't know if they where racing neither vehicle was slowing down.....the car didn't slow and go back behind the truck............the car came so close to me it left a scratch down the whole left side of the car.........I have run it through my head over and over again.....why did the car try to pass when he knew theres no posible way he could pass safely...........I will never know........I just thank God I am alive..........Very shaken up...but alive......

I probably posted this in wrong place I just needed to be with friend right now.....I can't stop thinking I can't shut down the images in my head.

On any highway I try to keep in the left lane, I do not feel safe in the middle or inside lane. Try to calm down, you will feel better after a sleep. Do to chrch on Sunday and thank God you are okay.

Thats scary.

Glad you ok - take a deep breath, a warm shower and try to put it out of you mind.

I can speak from experience, and I am very happy for you that you avoided the accident.
Today is the 10 year anniversary of the day I almost died in an accident. I can assure you I understand the horror of that spilt second realization of what is about to happen.
Unfortunately I did not have anywhere to swerve to miss my target. I had dozed off and drifted off the road. I "woke up" about 10 yards away from a rapidly approaching group of three trees and at the last second I tried to go between them and didn't make it.
Anyway, I can relate to that feeling of the images. The image of those three trees haunts me every day even ten years later. And the feeling of being that close to death is a life changing event.
Again, I am so happy you avoided the accident, and I hope the event will change your life for the better as my event did with me.

georginaj2000 I am so glad you are ok. I think maybe you did have a flashback
subconsciencely (sp?)maybe your higher power kept you more aware of your surroundings and survival B?C he knew it was not your time to go? once you relax
you just may remember something that flashed back. IIf you never remember it's ok b/c you survived . May many more blerssing be bestowed upon you.

I'm so glad you are ok.

I had a similar experience one time when I accidentally started driving the wrong way down the road (divided highway, turned the wrong way...yes, it was completely and totally idiotic of me)
I just saw all these cars coming at me and just barely missing me...I almost died of terror (as I'm sure did all the people I almost hit!)

i had a bad one a few months ago...
im 15 and on the way home from school i stopped to wait for my other mates... about 15 seconds
there were now 3 of us walking down the pavement when we came to our crossing... we looked each way and with that a car crashed right into the island in the middle of the road. not even breaking

if i hadnt have waited...we would have been on the crossing and probably have been blamed for the accident ( in UK 'j walking' isnt law breaking in that sense and kids just walk where ever
